I can't see us signing 7 more players, I reckon 3-4 will be closer to the mark. This is the time for our fringe players to step up and fill the void left by the players who have moved on. It's going to be an interesting season with another thread bear squad.

The fact that Hearts will be starting 15 points behind the rest will help ease the threat of relegation for all the other sides in the league. Partick probably can’t believe their luck as they would have been the bookies favourites to go down before Hearts went tits up. They now have a much better chance of survival, however I am sure they will take nothing for granted. Dundee proved last season you can amass points very quickly, and Hearts will still be quietly confident they can avoid the drop.

Pretty much sums up our new away top, in my opinion it's not one of Puma's best templates. I reckon they have far better designs in their teamwear range.

If big Higgy is looking for one last big pay day, I would imagine Dundee United is not the place to go.

I always thought the quality of the Xara kits was very good, however there is no excuse for labelling the colours wrongly.

I like the collar, however I have never been a fan of claret side panels on shirts, to me they just complicate an already good design.

The beauty of modern technology is that it allows managers to contact players or agents no matter where they are. However McCall can’t stop anyone leaving, if a player wants to go then so be it. We will survive, the next Higdon, Ojamma or Humphrey are only an mobile phone call away. We have rebuilt teams in the past, and we will do it again.
