  1. This is my fear, we need to be on top of our game and not give away any stupid early goals or the tie could be over before there’s even half an hour gone. This won't happen of course, as it will hopefully be KK making all the unforced errors.
  2. I would say yes, he is certainly our most well known player. This is probably the goal he’s most known for, hopefully he can do the same again tonight. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nmtB7rBs3M
  3. Hibs are a wounded animal and will be desperate to get a result for the fans after the euro humping by Malmo. With that in mind a draw would be a good result, although a sneaky 2-1 to us would be fine by me.
  4. Unless there is a sudden rush for tickets tomorrow, I very much doubt we will open the south stand. It is looking like we will be doing well to get a crowd of around 7000. Although I think tickets are on sale until kick off.
  5. I applaud your optimism, however a result like that would send shockwaves throughout Europe and is unlikely to happen. Even Celtic, currently the best team in Scotland, would probably struggle to score four against them. The most we can hope for is 1-0 to us, however I reckon we will concede at least one goal.
  6. With that pedigree you might get a gig with Elfsborg.
  7. I am sure McCall may have similar concerns, although a 90% Faddy is still worth having in your team.
  8. I would rather bring on one of our youngsters. Novo is now 34? and in my opinion would be a waste of a wage.
  9. I mentioned this earlier, it would be an historic victory and would rank as one of our greatest ever results.
  10. We are a poor team with very little money. and the cost of these two games is more than we will earn from both ties.
  11. All I know is that my mate got a ticket today for the east today without any problem. I reckon we will have a1000 less than I first thought, and it will now be nearer the 7000 to 7,500 mark. If that number is correct there will be no need to open the away end.
  12. Nah, Faddy will chip the keeper to send us through.
  13. Probably easier to just tweet/message Motherwell and ask whether anyone apart from ourselves will be covering the game. However, I very much doubt it will be shown anywhere other than the highlights on MFCTV. Although I would imagine that there will be radio coverage on Radio Scotland 810MW and digital for anyone unable to make the game.
  14. A very Jackson Pollock inspired tie design, and a cracking piece of memorabilia too.
  15. Hopefully Hibernian's collapse in Europe was a one off and we are not left holding our head in our hands at the final whistle. Hibs were an embarrassment to the Scottish football last week, however it did show that if you are not on top of your game bad things can happen. Just like St Johnstone, hopefully we can restore some pride back to our game and come away with a positive result. Mon the Well!
  16. While I agree with you, McCall will play safe and go with experience.
  17. While a 2-1 win would be a great result, I believe it's also a result that would ultimately see us lose the tie. In my opinion we can't afford to lose an away goal, unless we score more than 2 at the other end. If it has to be a narrow win I would rather it finished 1-0 to us.
  18. This result would almost certainly see us knocked out, we can only afford to loose an away goal if we score 5 or 6 at the other end.
  19. One of the most uncomfortable sights for a fan, is seeing the ball hit the net to the sound of near silence. Hopefully that all too familiar scenario won’t happen to us on Thursday night.
  20. If we lose an early goal the tie could be over before we even get started. Hopefully we can keep it tight and possibly take a 1-0 lead going into the second leg. This team are seeded for a reason, and the reason is they have better players, play in a better league against better opposition. If we do manage to beat them over the two legs it will go down as one of our greatest ever results. Fingers crossed.
  21. As an Research Associate for the Historical Kits website, I was glad to hear from Dave (the guy who runs the site) that Umbro will hopefully still have a role to play in the UK football kit scene. It was rumoured that they would no longer be manufacturing kits for the UK market. However he received an email from Chris Dolan, Head of PR & Communications at Umbro saying that the company is on track to rebuild its relationship with top flight clubs and players and that we can expect some "significant announcements." soon. In the mean time, Dave urges everyone who is tired of seeing the same templates provided by the big three sportswear providers (Nike, adidas and Puma) to lobby their clubs to ensure that Umbro's brand once again graces the top levels of UK football. Umbro still utilise the dreaded template in their kit designs, however in my opinion they always appeared to be a little more sympathetic towards each individual clubs kit heritage. Our iconic 60s hooped and 70s sash kit were manufactured by Umbro and they would probably both feature on the majority of Well fans favourite kit list.
  22. Potential fine coming their way?
  23. Not a lot of Kuban fans, however I am sure you will still make a lot of noise. I would assume the away fans will be housed in the Phil O’Donnell Stand, leaving the south more than likely empty. I don’t like to see empty spaces behind the goals, as it never looks good on TV or the press. However, at least our game is not live on the telly, so we won’t have to worry too much about how the away end looks to the viewing public. It’s a pity that we don’t have some spare big flags that we could drape over the seats in the south as that would look far better than just seeing empty spaces.
  24. Unless there is a sudden late demand I doubt it. The Main, Cooper and East more than meets our requirements.
