I thought we were superb tonight, McFadden really is a class act and pretty much ran the show. Who knows we might have been breathing down Celtic's neck for the championship if he had been on board at the start of the season.

I am a big supporter of our signature claret hoop, however I would love to see a reworking of our amber and claret sash home top, if only for one season. If nothing else it would inject a bit of 1970s hoopless (hopefully not hopeless) style to our home kit. Any ‘sash’ fans out there?

There are a few ‘big teams’ still out of the top six. Who would have ever thought that Hearts, Dundee United and Aberdeen might not make it.

We are almost there, however I wont celebrate until it's mathematically secure. I think now's the time to look towards next season and identify players who want to stay or join Scotland's second best team. Pettigrew scored around 21 goals in the mid 70s. Higdon will easily beat that total, and in doing so he will go down as one of our all time greatest strikers.

You would need to go back to the days of Pettigrew to find a striker who could guarantee you that goals ratio. I have heard rumours that Sevco are set to offer him a deal, however this might well be pish.

Hopefully with the correct approach we can get a draw. Our record against Celtic is not as bad as it is against Rangers, however when was the last time we beat this mob at Fir Park?

Pettigrew was superb, and in all my years of watching Motherwell he is the best striker that I ever saw at Fir Park. McFadden couldn‘t lace the great mans boots.

Judging by our last two displays, we appear to be doing our best to ensure that we miss out on a top six place. If this happens I can't bear to think what the crowds will be like at Fir Park, we will be lucky to see 3000 in the ground. ICT have had the correct approach, they have taken a few knocks however they are battling hard to hold on to the second spot. Motherwell on the other hand are doing everything in their power to reach second bottom.

I am not sure if I will bother going on Wednesday as I fear a hammering. The last two games have been shocking and if we keep this form up we might struggle to hold on to a top six place. The Faddy Factor needs to kick in soon.
