  1. Forced myself to watch the highlights and we were poorer than I thought. We made United look like a top European side who looked as if they could score at will. Almost certainly one of our worst performances of the season. Roll on Ross County.
  2. Pretty much summed up the game for me. We are very susceptible to teams who counter attack with pace, and United were unlucky not to score 3 or 4. Hopefully we can get back on track against Ross County.
  3. Randolph for keeping us in the match.
  4. The better team won on the night and they probably could/should have scored a few more. It took us about 67 minutes to get a proper shot on target, which is not good enough considering how many attack minded players we have in our team. On the plus side, Faddy looked sharp when he come on.
  5. With eight games to go until the split (i think?), that would mean we have still 24 points to play for. Strange despite being in second place we could still potentially miss out on a top six spot. This is one tight league, however if we keep picking up points like we have been doing we should be safe.
  6. A few good solid performances, however for me Nicky Law was the stand out.
  7. They are always tight games against Killie, with that in mind I am going for a 1-1 draw.
  8. I know people tend to focus on the ones that got away, however does anyone know our record from the penalty spot in recent years? The stats will probably prove otherwise but it seems like that we are missing around half of them.
  9. The only thing broken is our recent performances against the Old Firm. Admittedly they have been better against the green half, however the less said about the blue the better. We couldn’t even give a make shift Sevco a decent game. I really hope we turn them over tomorrow, unfortunately history and the stats say different. So far it’s been a great SPL season, if Motherwell can prove me wrong tomorrow, it could be one of our best ever.
  10. For whatever reason we do it every season. I say it every time we play either Celtic or Rangers, we might as well just hand them the three points as we tend to get humped. As a statistician once said, you don’t need to beat or even draw against the Old Firm to win the league, as long as you win your other games. Sadly that scenario will also never happen. I would like to change my prediction to 6-0 Celtic as my previous 4-0 was a bit too optimistic (Prove me wrong Motherwell) . Roll on St Johnstone at home.
  11. I can only see one outcome here, 4-0 Celtic. Yet more Old Firm misery. Yip, we will be rode hard and put away wet.
  12. If we can agree a fee now, that would probably suit us. We are out of both cups and any quick income would be much appreciated. I wish Jamie well and I hope that time down south is more successful than our recent exports.
  13. I have recently completed A personal photo documentary project on reaching 50, which looks at my relationship with my dad who died on the 14th December 1979, aged 51. This one image fits in quite well with this topic... Joe Wark knew my father, my father knew Joe Wark. Two football cards sit next to my late father's funeral card. In addition to collecting football cards, I appeared to be collecting funeral cards as well. The backdrop is my dad's Motherwell football club scarf.

He is certainly not a left back, we were left exposed a few times because he had pushed so far forward. He is an exciting young player who seems more at home playing in the oppositions 18 yard box.
  15. Ojamaa by a mile, the Aberdeen defence will be having nightmares about him for weeks.
  16. Happy Christmas. God I hope your wrong Sieb. I am going for 2-1 to the Well.
  17. Right I’m off, hopefully when I log back on in 30 minutes we will have won the game 3-2.
  18. I’ve just realised that Radio Scotland are not covering it. If any of the Old Firm were playing tonight it would be on the telly and radio. Tossers.
  19. I am not sure, I just assumed because it’s on a Friday it might be on the telly.
  20. Any good online links to the game?
  21. Ah the memories, I really miss all the “Goal Machine” banter. The guy was a legend for all the wrong reasons.
  22. I had heard that Sevco were very keen to snap him up on a pre contract. Sally McMoist is a big fan of Murphy, but I am not sure if he would be happy to play in the Scottish lower leagues for a few years. The money on offer might persuade him though.
  23. A superb result, now let’s see if we can sort out our home form and prove that we really are the best of the rest. Second is a real possibility, and if only our home form had been better we would have been pushing Celtic for first. It was great to see young Bob getting the winner.
