  1. With their win against St.Johnstone today, Dundee United will secretly fancy themselves as favourites for third spot. I fully expect us to lose to Celtic tomorrow (I hope I’m wrong), coupled with United’s vastly superior GD they look to be in pole position. The only saving grace is that we still have to play them at Fir Park, which is now looking like a massive, massive game.
  2. I know some would probably like me to! However, I will still attend cup games and look out for our score, so yes I would still post on here. My views on the whole Newco situation are pretty much this.
  3. And unfortunately such a decision would put an end to me watching Motherwell play SPL football. Would they miss me? Probably not. Would they miss a thousand or so? Probably yes.
  4. I’m not sure what powers Well Society members will have in any Newco vote. However I’m 100% certain that the people with the power will vote a Newco Rangers straight back into the SPL.
  5. It’s ironic that giving your hard earned to the Well Society could lead to a vote for a Newco to waltz straight back into the SPL. If the worst comes to the worst, will Motherwell ballot all Well Society members before they say YES to a Newco?
  6. As the Rangers situation begins to look bleaker and bleaker we need to prepare for our Chief Exec and the members of the Well Society inviting the Newco back into the SPL with open arms. It was nice knowing you Motherwell.
  7. The weakest Old Firm in years...blah, blah. We will hammer them, blah, blah. Celtic are in free fall, blah, blah. Neil Lennon is tactically inept, blah, blah. 3-1 Celtic.
  8. It will be interesting to see how badly affected clubs will be if the Rangers newco are accepted straight back into the fold. I reckon it will be minimal, but I for one wont be back at another SPL game. IMHO all member clubs should consult with their fans before taking it up the arse from any Rangers newco.
  9. I'm afraid that will happen with teams who have nothing to play for. The cup will be Aberdeen's priority and I fully expect Dundee United to take full advantage of the situation. If we go about our business in the correct manner, it wont matter what Aberdeen or Dundee United do.
  10. I’ve been pretty negative about our recent up and down league form. In the last five games our stats show 2 wins and 3 loses against St.Johnstone’s 3 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss. This is overshadowed by Dundee United’s impressive 5 straight wins. Games against our two main rivals will decide who claims third spot, both of whom at the moment have a slightly better goal difference. As it stands we are on +5, St.Johnstone are on +6, United are on +14. In an effort to shake me out of my negative streak, I’m going to say that we can achieve third spot. However, it will be very close, with only one or two points separating third, fourth, and fifth place. It’s never easy being a Well fan!
  11. I hope Dunfermline get something against United as the second scenario isn’t going to happen any time soon.
  12. There must be something in the water down Killie way.
  13. Any more performances like yesterday and I will fully expect us to be caught by both Dundee United and St Johnstone. Out of those two, Dundee United just shade it as our biggest threat to gaining third spot. I hope I’m wrong, but it’s looking more and more like 4th or 5th place for us. Suddenly the Champions League theme is looking more like a pipe dream. Come on Motherwell, prove me wrong!
  14. Sorry, I also cry every time we play them.
  15. There is more chance of Craig Whyte being given the freedom of Govan, than us beating this mob. Take your pick from... Rangers 6 - 0 Motherwell Rangers 5 - 0 Motherwell Rangers 4 - 0 Motherwell Rangers 3 - 0 Motherwell
  16. It won’t matter Finlay, I reckon our woeful record against Rangers will continue for the foreseeable future. As someone said, Rangers could field a team of under 15s and still hump us.
  17. Boosted by their superb cup final win and the sad fact that we haven’t beaten them in the last five games (2 defeats, 3 draws), I’m going for 2-1 Killie I’m afraid.
  18. For any chance of a move up, he’s got to start performing in the big games. Especially if it’s live on Sky Sports.
  19. With the game being live on Sky Sports, this was a good opportunity for Jamie to showcase his talents today. I think any potential buyers would have been unimpressed by his performance. In saying that, apart from Ojamaa and Humphrey the whole team were under par.
  20. Third red card of the season today, certainly his best in that respect.
  21. Looking forward to seeing the card display by the Dons fans today, anything happening at our end, or are we just waiting for the final?
