  1. Interesting to compare both teams fans forums. The We Are Perth fans fanzine has filled 7 pages on the game where we have around double that. This percentage will probably mirror the amount of fans in the ground, with Motherwell looking like they will double whatever St.Johnstone bring. Right enough of this statistics piss, when’s the game starting!
  2. Wake up, wake up! You’ve slept through the alarm, the game starts in five minutes!
  3. Joe Corrigan was first choice at Man City so Keith didn't make as many appearances as he would have liked for the first team. After City Keith went to the NASL to play for Philadelphia Fury and Portland Timbers, when he came back to Britain I think he signed for Leeds United? On a side note, Fury also played in claret and amber.
  4. If he’d left it at the semi stage he wouldn’t be in this situation. Hope everything goes well Ricky!
  5. I can’t be 100% certain but I think John Boyle sued him privately. So in the end it was nothing to do with Motherwell Football Club. I think JB won his case as well.
  6. Exactly my sentiments. If there is a hard way to do it, you can be sure the SPL will find it!
  7. A bit of a cliche, but some would say that is the sort of form that wins you titles. (e.g: Play badly but still manage to grind out a result). 3 points are 3 points, no matter what spin you put on it.
  8. I wouldn't call 9 wins and 1 defeat (to us) all that strange. In fact, if I was the manager I would be feeling pretty happy.
  9. Maybe best not, it might make them angry in the final.
  10. As the fixtures have not been confirmed yet, it’s best to wait until they are posted on the SPL website
  11. Not a bad crowd for the first game though, just a pity we're not going to get similar on Saturday. Edit: Pretty cool penalty to win the game for Dunfermline!
  12. I reckon “the debacle” was down to asking fans to fork out for a replay, when the general consensus was probably that the first game should have been played to a finish. Game 1 att: 25,336 Game 2 att: 8,500 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4ftlSzAtPY
  13. With the club going public on the 6,000 figure, it shows there will be little chance of us selling much more than 8,000 for this match. Here’s hoping St Johnstone can manage at least 3 - 4,000.
  14. First rule of journalism, never let the facts get in the way of a good story.
  15. Can anyone confirm or deny these claims? Sounds like bullshit to me.
  16. For me all defeats hurt, whether it’s against Alloa or Rangers they are all the same. My memory of our defeat to Hearts in the Texaco Cup semi hurt as much as our defeat to Airdrie or Rangers. It’s just great to be involved in big games and here’s hoping there will be an even bigger one to look forward to after Saturday!
  17. I admit on present form we are favourites, but I still think this will be our toughest game of the season. I never like the favourites tag as Motherwell tend to perform better as underdogs. Time will tell, but out with the old firm there is only a baw hair between the other 10 9 SPL sides. Edit: Make that 9 as Hamilton are really pish!
  18. As history has shown, this is the most sensible approach. There is a lot of hard work still to be done before we can even think about a final. We have probably struggled more against St Johnstone than so called bigger and better teams. This will be our toughest game of the season, and to be honest there is nothing between the two teams. The time to think about Cup Final tickets is when we are actually in it.
  19. Cheers. I know times have changed but it will be interesting to compare the crowd at the weekend match.
  20. For most older Well fans, defeat in this game wouldn’t compare to the Airdrie 1975 semi. All defeats are sore, but when it’s against your local rivals in an attempt to get to your first Scottish Cup Final in years, that really hurts. As has been said before that side were a good team and really deserved more for their efforts. Just out of curiosity, does any one know the crowd at Hampden for the first game and the replay?
  21. Brines has surely got to face some sort of sanction for that inept display tonight. Is it too late for the SFA to change the main official for Saturday’s semi?
  22. If the SFA handed out free tickets to Motherwell and St Johnstone kids, both Aberdeen and Celtic would be livid. So aye lets do it!
  23. As the game is organised by the SFA, only they can choose to do this. Edit: Unless of course Motherwell buy them and hand them out for free.
  24. As mentioned in the other thread can we beat these two semi Final attendance figures? The second one should be a certainty, but I’m not so sure about the Dundee Gretna crowd. Dundee v Gretna, att 14,179 Dunfermline v Hibernian (replay) att 8,536
  25. There is a strong possibility that Saturdays game will be the lowest ever attendance for a Scottish Cup semi in recent memory. Here’s hoping that won’t happen, but with around 4 days to go it doesn’t seem likely.
