This is the new Atlético Paranaenese home shirt produced by Umbro in commemoration of the club's 87 year anniversary and to be used for one game only. The club launched the new kit at the weekend in a Campeonato Paranaense match at home to struggling side Cascavel in which they won 2-0. This match was used as it is the date closest to the foundation date of the club, the 26th of March. The shirt is a reimagination the the first few that were worn in the first few since the founding of the club and also 1925, the season when Atlético-PR won their first major title

On this day in 1952 we drew 1-1 with Hearts in the Scottish Cup Semi Final. The game went to a third replay which we eventually won 3-1. We of course went on to win the Cup!

At long last, like my late dad (he died in 1979) I had finally witnessed us win the Scottish Cup! It’s the one game that can still reduce me to tears. That and any game around the Roger Hynd, Jock Wallace or Maurice Malpas era!

Not surprised, as there is no Old Firm side involved. The interest is just not there for any channel to bother, in fact they would probably make a loss as the viewing figures would probably be pretty low. I wonder if there are any viewing figures available for Scottish league or cup games out with the Old Firm?

Who knows what Motherwell team will turn up on Wednesday? The one thing about United this season is they have been pretty consistent, Motherwell on the other hand.... Anyone remember the 1970s Fir Park Road Shows, where Well players would give exhibitions of ball control and Bill Dickie would talk about the history of the club. I'm sure at the Forth one we had a mini five-a-side tournament with Joe Wark and Jimmy Lindsay both playing in goal. Great memories!

We have to give McCall at least until half way into the next season before making a decision on his ability to do a job here. While I'm not convinced that he is the long term answer, bizzarely he still has a chance to join the exclusive list of mangers who have managed to bring the Scottish Cup to Fir Park.

We know require Dundee United to do us a favour by thumping Inverness.
