I see we had the lowest attendance of all the SPL’s weekend fixtures. St.Mirren and Dundee United managed 5618, while us and Hibernian could only achieve 5172. I know it’s probably not any different from previous seasons, but with the good weather I thought we might have added a few more to the gate.

It may well be that the ‘strongly hinted’ sponsor could just be for the SPL. If we get to the Europa group stages we have the potential to make our shirt deal more attractive to a wider and more lucrative commercial backer. I see any short term deal running for as long as we remain in the Europa Cup, and would guarantee any potential Euro sponsor maximum exposure on TV and other media.

I think the words ‘case closed’ are in order (or was it ever even opened?). The pressure of playing for the mighty Well has clearly got to him.

At home we are in my opinion the quietiest fans in the SPL. At away games we do tend to make a little more noise. Apart from introducing a standing/falling over alchohol fan zone, I’m not sure how we can change it.

I would say most of these figures are unrealistic. You would maybe attract the odd neutral fan but 5,000 + just seems crazy. 10,000 English fans? Sadly Motherwell is not that a big draw and you would be very lucky to get 2,000. 5,000 pseudo Well fans? They would be happy just to watch it on the telly. 10,000 true well fans? Just stick them in Fir Park and create a great Euro atmosphere

When it comes to large sums of money of course you can’t deal just on trust. Although the fact still remain for whatever reason this ‘done deal’ appears to have stalled. I have no doubt it will eventually happen, Leeann has come on this very board and assured us of that. I think the frustration for many people is that Craig Brown is moaning about lack of funds. If this deal was as done, as some have said, Craig and TheLip69 might be a little more content.
