I would take a call off tonight allowing us to better prepare for an very important cup game on Saturday. Without the midweek double travelling and a tiring game on a heavy pitch before it. Maybe the change in the board has changed attitudes. With more football based decisions from people on the board who maybe actually, know a bit about football no just running a business. Starting with signing Wimmer, then handling him leaving really well, then signing JBA after doing the ground work to identify him and getting him on board. Then buying into his style of football ,supporting him by bringing I'm players he obviously identified. Resisting wasting good money on panic buys to fill in squad places. Quality rather than quantity. I think there has been a total change of attitude at the top of the club and it is obvious to see. Which they all deserve credit for. What was the squad worth last season ? A tiny fraction of that Its our manager that has turned it into a multi million pound squad if your valuations are correct or even in the ball park all credit goes to him , i would think. KVV and Higdon were top of goal scoring tables for us . When we sold them they both reverted to type pretty much immediately and never had seasons scoring like the ones they had with us. TJ is scoring all right but look at they way the rest of the team are playing to allow him the opportunity to score the goals. Is he really worth the millions being talked about after one really good season ?
