What happened to we need rid of everyone but Ox, new team required ,get rid of the injury prone jinks , has beens non triers and send loanees back.. I love it , close season discussion with no reference to what's been posted before. π€ͺ if I recall correctly Miller and Sneddon were only ones worth keeping. And Sneddons a bit of a perma crock I still think there is a player in Thomson somewhere.

Bad management , tactics and coaching ? Eventually got him sacked maybe ift was managers fault.

Neither up nor down with that news.

Scottish football is stagnant . All the usual home grown managers play same type of shit football tactically. Learned from the same books probably . One team plays one way so the other sets up to negate that. This along with playing each other 4 times if not more a season does make for boring stuff , boring managers with no room to trying something different . It's boring as fuk to watch. The majority of games in the league now are well below the standard they should be .Maybe someone from outside can bring something different along and bring back a bit of excitement back into a Saturday. I live in hope. And by the by this attitude is reflected in the National team as well. The manager makes watching paint dry seem exciting.

To be fair it's sometime difficult to tell the sarcastic ones apart from standard . Maybe a π emoji would help the simpler of us on here the next time sarcasm is attempted. Cheers.

Fans may have suggested it but the club have not. I would say we are staying here. Three good stands , one old one and a belter of a playing surface v start from scratch in a soulless new one, somewhere. Staying for the foreseeable. Build facilities some where cheap from scratch.

Care to elaborate, so my lawyer has something to start with π

Aye thats ok for his cv and tactical ability but where's his hoose and is his missus staying over here as well.

It's the Motherwell way

A quick look in the papers at the list supposably in with a shout of the job would soon sober anyone up.

Thought he resigned with Liverpool recently.
-
Aye I bet he did.

Are we waiting in the wings , poised to swoop. I can see the headlines now. Ex player agrees to manage The Well on a four year contract. Quote β I always loved the chips out of The Rex. β

The answer as always nowadays is β¦..money.
-
Is that a serious question , if so I might not give the answer that you want me to

Or just a link inβ¦β¦the chain

Ok , I promise I won't use foul language in front of Mrs Grizzlyg then.

Hope to feck we never paid a fee for that transfer.

Aye , cheers for the reply that's about a summary of my thoughts too . But really you are on a hiding to nothing being the Well manager as its inevitable with financial constraints, support numbers and location as close to Glasgow, that eventually they run out of ideas , having to sell the best players doesn't help and results drop off .Then they leave . Terry Butcher installed great team spirit then went off to the sun . Tommy McLean was astute but not very personable. Craig Brown was a very good manager also proving experience really does count. I liked him , he left for a better job , the way he did it was poor tho. Not too many Well managers do leave to a better job. They just sort of fade away and have to leave. I would think it will be about a three to four year life span for a manager that does relatively well .

Hook , line , and sinker .

Are there any Motherwell managers in the past 40 years you actually rate . Serious question by the way.
-
With his maws matress no doubt.
-
Aye but if his house is in Edinburgh that a very big improvement over the last guy

What a game probably in top three best games I've been to in my 50 years following The Well. What an atmosphere first time we sang twist and shout I think and everyone got it perfect. Total inspiration and bit of a surprise result . I wasn't expecting that traveling in on the M74 along side the entitled blue and white hoards if I'm honest. But Ainsworth goal...... Oh my goodness. Still smile when I see it.
