Wimmer gives me the fear. No idea of Scottish football and is only familiar with English football. Talking of press and energy, things that any manager would say. Only a gradual introduction to his ideas when we need a quick change.God I hope I am so wrong.

The bloated squad is a real problem. The new manager has to assess over 30 players and come up with his best eleven. This could take a few weeks especially if he is new to Scotland and has little prior knowledge of our players.
-
Remember the old joke. How did Rangers get on today? They lost 1-0. Oh who missed the penalty?

I can imagine the Valakari out, melt down on here if we had taken 2 points from 9 games. I find it extraordinary that the biggest critics of Kettlewell come on here and defend a manager who is regularly criticised for his tactics and team set up. Anyway we have 30 points after 21 games. Any Motherwell manager's first priority is to keep us in the league. In the last 10 years the highest points that have been in the play off is 36. (that's what we had in 2015) so with 17 games to go even if the total is higher this year we need three wins to achieve that objective.

How many of those belittling Kettlewell were pushing for Valakari a few years ago. A bullet well and truly dodged.

The inconsistency of decisions is what infuriates fans. Watch Crystal Palace score against Southampton. There is much more contact on the Southampton keeper than Watt on Buckland but the goal was given.
-
Balmer for Gordon who is on the bench. Did I read that right?

When Collum ran out at Fir Park the reaction of most was Oh no it will all be about him and it usually was. Now he is the man in charge. What do you expect?

You cant beat a last minute winner. My cat jumped out of her skin when I shouted out when i saw the score come up on my phone. A lovely bottle of red with my dinner and Mrs Sinjy is looking even more beautiful . I hope Wellfan, Yodo and MJC are enjoying their evening as much as me.

Davor and Halliday in midfield will not work. When was the last time a midfielder ran beyond the front players? There is no movement. Ideally a midfield should have a tackler, a runner and a passer. Paton might fill the runner/ball carrier but we do not have a competent tackler/defensive midfielder. If we are going to play 5 at the back then our full backs must provide the width. Kaleta has shown he can do this but Wilson does not have that change of pace necessary to beat the other full back. We are locked into this system. Only Mashwalli and the guy from Hibs could be considered wingers so we don't seem to have the players for 442 or 433. My first aim every season is to see us get to 40 points. On yesterday's showing that is a long way off.

There was an article I read about Lennon Miller where our former player Bailey Rice was mentioned. The article suggested that as youngsters Lennon and Bailey were seen to be on a par. Bailey chose to go to Rangers where he seems to have disappeared. A lesson there for any aspiring youngster.

You forgot Theo. Oh wait we got him for nothing and was a donkey that we sold for a couple of million. Some people will never be happy and have selective memories to back up their negativity.

I think a lot rests on the attitude of the Rangers players. They will know that a defeat will see the manager gone. If they support him then they will be up for it. If they don't then they might not be at their best. We need to get in their faces from the start. Get them on the back foot and the crowd will turn on them.

Is it a coincidence that Celtic (and their city friends) have been repeatedly fined for their supporters behaviour in Europe but nothing is done by the SPFL of the SFA.

The worrying thing for me is that our executive board actually thought the Wild Sheep proposal was a good one. McMahon, Feeney and Dickie have a lot of questions to answer.

Well said. Keith MCrae was an accomplished out field player. Peter McCloy came on as substitute and Keith went outfield and scored our goal. Keith then played out field in our next and last league cup section game. That was the season we easily won the old second division. McCloy and McCrae shared the goalkeeper position but Keith also played a couple of games outfield

Nope
-
Not Keith but he was involved.

Here is one for the trivia buffs. In August 1968 we played Montrose away and lost 2-1. It was the days of one substitute. Who was the Well's sub that day?
-
You have convinced me to send in my vote. Thanks for that.
-
I am a Society member and a shareholder. I have two votes. I have already voted reject in the Society ballot. Am I correct that whatever the Society vote says will carry the day as they have 70 per cent of the shares and will out number everyone else? I will send in my reject vote but it is it meaningless?
-
A definite Reject vote just sent in from me. My concern is the group who do not engage here or on Pie and Bovril and are blinded by Hollywood and Netflix. If this offer is accepted I really fear for the future of our club. Hopefully the articles by McCafferty and on STV and BBC web sites will enlighten a few more.

So Kelly and Bair have earned us almost as much as EB has offered as first instalment in his take over that gives him virtually full control of the club. The sooner he is told to do one the better.
-
Barnack's deal is a no from me. For £300,000 he gets to be chairman with two of his people on the board of eight. If the CEO or FD get a better offer, get pissed off or are driven out EB can appoint another pal and it's now 4 of 8 and with his casting vote now has full control. I have seen nothing of a business plan other than some vague notions of a documentary and expanding interest in us in the USA. He has admitted knowing very little about running a soccer club. For his investment of £1.9 million he increases his shareholding from zero 47 per cent. In contrast for investing £1.3 million the Society sees it's share dropping from 70 per cent to 50.1 per cent. That is just mad. With the Well Society Board at least we have people with the club's interest at heart, not some unknown. As a Well Society member and also a shareholder that is two nos from me.

Someone on here is advocating combining four wages and bringing in one top player on that sort of money. They clearly do not know or understand how a dressing room woks. Derek Weir when asked at the AGM why we did not try to sign Van Veen was quite clear that senior dedicated professionals ( I think he mentioned Kelly, McGinn and O'Donnell ) would not be happy and could have had detrimental effects on moral.
