On Saturday when I arrived in the ground at about 2.30, one of the stewards was confiscating a flag from a boy who was at most 15 years of age. His excuse for flags being banned - "I dont need tae answer to you, but they fuds might be hidin smokebombs inside of flags". Indeed.

Am I the only one that thinks it looks like we could have a real player on our hands in Alan Gow? His first touch is excellent, he held the ball up well and some of his passes were excellent that would have on other days could turn out to be game winning, add that to his shot in the first half where the technique was excellent and i'd be offering him an extended contract tomorrow before someone with more resources takes him off our hands. He was slightly rusty today admittedly but once he gets a few games behind him he will without doubt be the creative spark that we'v been missing.

The stigs in the Utd support giving out wrestlers taunts and pretending to be big hard men was excellent.

Gow was in our half for the third goal, impossible to be offside. First two minutes were decent, last 2 minutes were decent and the rest was shite.

I used to do some work in and about Fir Park and had to wait after games with Edward as people left through the tunnel. He was always very pleasant to everyone and seemed like just the person you'd want to have at the door greeting people. Does it matter that he is a "masonic Rangers fan" ?

Have to admit from where we were it looked like a stonewall penalty. I'd have been screaming for it had it been Murphy brought down like that. Good performance but how woeful was the referee? Bouzid is an animal and the foul on Lasley that wasnt given was criminal.

When are the games?

I think all hope of winning the game was lost as soon as we took Humphrey off. He wasnt having the best of games but at no point did he go into hiding, he was still looking for the ball and trying to be positive. After he came off there were so many times the ball was played across the midfield with either Las or Jennings looking out right to spread the play and there was no one there. His crossing might have been a bit off but anyone who knows anything about football knows the positive effect he still on Saturday.
