SOD was superb when he came on. Pinged a few cross field passes about to perfection and managed to noise up one of their lot into getting themselves booked.

Flash in the pan. People have been complaining AP isn't suited as the striker in our new set up because his first touch isn't good enough so there's zero chance or it working with Bair, his first touch goes further than most people can kick. His success was built on using his pace and strength with acres of space to run into while the rest of our team stood on Liam Kelly's toes, it absolutely won't work when we've got our goalie standing 40 yards from goal. He's an absolute unit and some athlete but a football player he is not.

Don't knock it, it was our game plan for the bulk of the last 5 years. Give it another month or so (being generous) and there will already be idiots shouting for it to return.

For a start it's a pre season friendly so I don't really know why anyone cares. Beyond that we're getting used to another new manager who is setting up in a new formation and asking them to actually play football after 2 years of being told that the ball is their enemy, not to go anywhere near it and just let the other team keep it, of course there will be teething problems. Picking up on things like we didn't look comfortable playing out from defence or that the players were too slow to pick there pass (at time it felt like you could see their thoughts processing in real time but they're obviously still not sure of themselves yet) is a critique. Writing off some of the players or labelling it embarrassing is well past that and into lost the heid, pissed your wee panties territory.

We will end up relegated at some point but with Falkirk, Livi, Steven Presley's Dundee and (dare I say it) Stuart Kettlewell's Kilmarnock in the league it won't be this season. If you can at least accept relegation will happen at some point you'd be as well trying to enjoy it and have a bit of fun with it now and then rather than being a constant fucking misery.
