  1. Looks like I'll need to give it a miss after initially deciding I was going. Just not got the money, might not even make it to Airdrie on Thursday. Bad times.
  2. Gutted he's gone. Could never imagine him wearing another club's strip. Hopefully we'll get to have him back one day along with Faddy. Getting those two back into a front line along with Porter would be very interesting. All the best Clarky, hope it works out for you.

    Jim Gannon

According to SSN we are hoping to have everything confimed and announced tomorrow.
  4. That still doen't mean there are no good players in the league. Ports came from playing in League One.
  5. Fifa cover the travel costs, so we only really need the gate money to cover hiring the Shyberry or whatever it's called nowadays.

    Canterbury

He's obviously known for a loooooong time he was leaving, if he helped design that.
  7. I believe his exact words were "That bitch-ass motherfucker. He can shove it up his arse. I ought to pop a cap in his ass."
  8. Calderwood's stance and comments after Phil O'Donnell's death means that he will never be welcome near Motherwell. If he is ever near the place as opposing manager, or whatever, he should be prepared to be lynched. He'll be lucky to get off the M74 before he's run off the road and given his battering. Total c**t.
  9. I think his agent, one Mr Boon, had it sent in.
  10. According to Real Radio Ivan Golac has submitted an application.

    Latest Rumour

I had wondered about that myself. I would imagine that McGhee's profile being raised so quickly with his succes here and being heavily linked with the Scotland job after 6 months has played a part. I would have thought that that could have helped out the other SPL clubs too. Perhaps our links to the likes to McFadden, McCormack, McDonald and possibly even Davies or McLeish have helped build or profile a little more than we would have thought.
  12. Boyle or the new manager?
  13. I think he's Jim Jeffries. He's a torn faced bastard any time he's on and is constantly trying to put Jeffires name forward as our new boss.

    Latest Rumour

Yeah, I'd highly doubt any bookies has odds running for our next boss at all. That's why you wont get money on Staunton. When Davies was sacked my Dad was told to put money on the Black/Butcher team taking over. He went into every bookies in Motherwell to try and put £50 on it and not one of them were taking the bets. Nothing to do with this really, but there you go.
  15. Toastie done everything that day except score. Even to the point he went for a diving header and kept pulling himself along the ground to try to connect with the header. I think it was one game where people were feeling sorry for him.
  16. Yeah, pretty sure Faddy did.
  17. I genuinely believe that Clarky wouldn't want to do the 'dirty' on the club by walking out for free. If he was ever to leave, I reckon he'd happily sign a new deal at some point before hand just to ensure that we got a fee for him. Not that he ever will leave. I believe it is now law that he must play for us. I also think we could say the same about Reynolds. When he signed his new deal in 2007/08 season, he said that he is more than happy to sign up with us, even though the Portsmouth et al stories were about at the time, as it meant that we could command a reasonable fee for him.
  18. So do McCormack's. Mostly from the round about the penalty spot area.
  19. Sanchez would be a massive appointment for us. The only thing would be his long ball tactics might not impress too many people.
  20. Perhaps they have, but anything I have read has been purely about Mark McGhee and Aberdeen. If he has sad anything postive then fair enough, but John Hughes didn't see to have anytrouble getting his views on his time at Falkirk into the press.
  21. Its not the fact the he is leaving that is getting people's back up. We all knew that was going to happen. It's the fact that despite all the coverage this story has had over the past fortnight I have yet to hear McGhee mention Motherwell once. Not to say he enjoyed his time here or to thank us for taking a chance on him and giving him a job back in football when it looked like everyone else had given up on him. I half expected maybe Leitch to come out and say something considering he was born in the town, started his career with us and spent the last few seasons of his career captaining our team, or John Boye guaranteeing him a job for life at Fir Park But, fuck all from either of them. I hope Annan pump them out the CIS and they get the sack.
  22. I remember always being highly confused as to why the sign above the old turnstiles into the terrace behind the goal said Motherwell Football & Athletic Club rather than just Motherwell Football Club. Can remember they wee concrete dug-out with Tommy always sitting on the front of it on his shawl.
