  1. CM, can you please tell us where your holiday destinations are so myself and others can avoid the chance that we might be subject to your crap chat in person, rather than your stories of economic achievement and renumeration of taxi drivers on here. Give me strength.
  2. Got to agree that Rangers are pretty average. I could see St Johnstone, Hearts and Aberdeen finishing above them. Celtic will have the league over by Christmas. Their squad has so much strength I'd depth that they can allow GMS and Allan to leave on loan. Rangers have a bot of leaving the central defence isolated, so speed down the flanks and we could really get something. We really have got to be positive and not bottle it, so that starts with McGee fielding an attacking formation. Skippy Johnson Ainsworth Clay Cadden Lasley Chalmers McMannus Heneghan Tait Brill That is if Hammell is put - and please no Samson!
  3. I work weekends so a season ticket isn't an option. I really considered going to the game, but had commitments that evening, but see what happens when you reduce admission prices to a reasonable level?
  4. Have you installed SportsDevil launcher? If not, Google it. There are some tutorials on how to install and many YouTube videos as well. In SportsDevil, go to Live Sports, FirstRowSports.ge, Football, then scroll down past the channels for the direct links to the streams. They are sequenced by kick off times. The .ge link generally has better streams the the .EU link.
  5. Good luck to you. Glad to see someone being proactive with regards to this. Attendances have plummeted at most clubs outside the old firm.
  6. Hammell, still to this day, is one of the best left backs in Scotland. I as much as anyone have concerns over his continued fitness, but as with Lasley, the managers over the last three seasons have struggled to find a younger replacement. ZFA and Straker? I'd imagine that signing both Hammell and Lasley on reduced terms is as much to develop their coaching ability as their influence on the park. I believe we need a left back, I don't think Chalmers is the solution, but I don't believe insulting and alienating the members of the forum is the catalyst for a structured debate on the subject. I'm sure Campbell will feature this season and I'm also sure that had we'll have a midfield three of McHugh, Clay and Cadden, when both Clay and Moult are back fit. The Celtic and St Johnstone games were concerning, but let us see who appears on Saturday. If we play with Samson at the back, McDonald stranded up front and Chalmers playing in some ludicrous position then I'll be asking a few more questions.
  7. Exactly what community club should be doing. Engaging local kids and promoting junior admission at an affordable level. Seriously, kids go for a pound shoukd be a promotion the club run every month.
  8. There will most probably be a stream for Rangers TV that will be broadcast abroad. Are you using a PC, Firestick or Android box?
  9. About half of those teams were on the first division when Gordon came through at Hearts. Hibs produced Jamie Langfield who was destined for great things, didn't quite get there but still has had a decent top flight career. My point is that we haven't had a keeper progress from the youth setup to the first team in twenty five years plus. I tried to think of one keeper since Woods and Howie that has come through and even featured regularly on the bench. Not one that I could think of.
  10. I think Marvin is one of the few players that might rescue some points for us. We really don't have anot get left sided midfielder or forward, unless Thomas actually steps up o McGee slots, or the love of God, Chalmers in there!
  11. Hearts have been pretty good at producing keepers over the last 15 years, as have Celtic. We've not had one youth keeper anywhere near the first team in that period.
  12. When was the last time we brought s keeper through the youth setup who went on to play at a reasonable level?
  13. Andrew Shinnie to sign on loan at Hibs today. The attacking midfielder we are crying out for and available on loan too.
  14. I started this season with a positive outlook. I watched the nightmare at Easter Road and hoped that we wouldn't be that awful by the time we got through the cup group stage. So far our best striker is riled out for several weeks, McMannus has reverted to his pathetic type, Hammell is showing the fitness of last season, Lasley is woefully off the pace, McDonald doesn't look fit, we have no creativity in midfield and we have fielded a keeper that makes Hollis look like Neuer. I actually have a lot of faith in McGee, but there needs to be a big change in team selection, tactics and mentality before we enter a period where we hope that Hamilton, ICT and Kilmarnock will prop up the table underneath us with their performances. We need McHugh or Clay to perform like Donati did against Rangers. I just hope that Blyth turns out to be a younger Michael Higdon!
  15. No Kennedy or Laing in the starting line up yesterday and Lucas on the bench. Is Laing still injured and is Kennedy completely out the picture now? Reported that Hibs are trying to sign Shinney from Birmingham. Precisely the kind of player that we are crying out for, but probably way out of our budget, even before the signings of Clay, McHugh, Blyth and Heneghan.
  16. Rangers were not very convincing against Dundee. Forrester should definitely have been off and, I can't believe I'm saying this, Chris Sutton said the referee 'bottled it' which I totally agree with. Yes, Rangers are a strong team, but they are so far behind the quality that Celtic have and if Hamilton and Dundee can compete with them, so should we. No silly formations, play Ainsworth wide and start Brill and we must have a chance.
  17. Samson is nothing short of a nightmare. Sorry to say, but he does not instill confidence in the defence at all. This theme goes all the way back to the Hibs friendly at Easter Road where McMannus was nothing shirt of woeful and so it seemed yesterday as well. From the highlights it does look as if Clay was the best player in our midfield, despite some nice play from an apparently jaded Cadden. I'm a bit more forgiving of McDonald. We've watched high balls continually being punted in his direction and couple this tactic with the five feet, what, five of Ainsworth, it really is no surprise that we failed in an attacking sense so often. Saying that, we are never going to win with such a wayward cental defence and a poor goalkeeper. I was more confident with Lee Hollis.
  18. I hope to be proven wrong, as much as everyone was crying out for more midfield options, I just don't think Clay was the player with the attributes we need. McHugh seems to be the better player and provided us with the defensive capabilities we need. Tait has played well in some games and Sinclair I rate as perhaps the best player in Scotland. I remember him at Swansea when they were in the Championship and he has roasted many an opposition full back in the EPL, so I'm not sure what people expected of Tait given he was playing non league football last year. Interesting to see if Clay develops, I hope he does, but we've seen some questionable midfielders in recent times. Jake Taylor being one who still gets me angry.
  19. Just watching the Dundee v Rangers game... Craig Thompson is dreadful.
  20. Josh Law was an unfortunate victim of our recruitment under McCall. Never a player in a two man central midfield and defensive deficiency at right back. Tried hard, gave his all... Chalmers has been disinterested since day one. Always looked hopeless.
  21. 8 goals in 157 appearances. Not the return of Pearson proportions.
