Would take Crawford off hamilton. If we stay up.and they go down they will be looking to offload and at this point in his career Crawford won't want to play in the Championship. I'm sure he will get other offers but the fact he's local my sway him to come to us.
He's been desperate to go down south since Alex Neil left and hoped he would take him to Norwich, even if accies went down I doubt they would be easy to deal with to sign him. Some accies fans I've seen say he's not even that good as well.

I see our Under have only 3 named subs tonight. Surely we could have picked one or two more?
Craigan has injuries to Luke Watt, Peter Morrison, Barry Maguire, Ross MacLean and Dylan Falconer hence his lack of subs, it's not the first time he's had only 3 subs to name this season.
-
Thomas seems to always play off the right hand side for QOTS so he can come in and use his left foot, perhaps we haven't been using him properly and this has been shown by his form there, Certainly on Cadden's recent form i'd have tried Thomas ahead of him if he was here just now.

Rather bizarre rumour in the sun tonight that Leicester and Man City are among 30 scouting Marvin Johnson!
-
I find it hard to believe that there aren't any teak hard centre halves playing non-league.
Part of our development strategy next year has to be getting our near first team prospects out on loan. The under 20 league is becoming farcical. Way too many school kids playing, sixteen years olds and the like.
Our 18/19/20 year olds need to be playing adults.
I believe reserve league is back in force from next season so that will help the 18/19/20 year olds getting the chance to play against more seasoned pros than what they get in the under 20s league, especially when you look at the size of squads at clubs like Celtic etc will certainly be helpful for their development I'd say.

We need 2 Keepers,a left back,a centre half, couple centre midfielders, left winger and a couple of strikers and thats ONLY if we keep Cadden & Moult , who I believe will both leave! Quite the rebuild!!

We also have Clay contracted for next season, although I know he isn't overly impressive to many people. Dom Thomas also under contract for next season, this will be his last year on his contract.

Is there a way to have frear and Thomas in the team? Or is Thomas on the outs too?
Yes I think we could, Thomas has mostly been playing off the right at Queen of the South and coming in on to his left foot, Frear naturally a left winger so it depends whether we go for two left footers on each side or play Cadden/MacLean on the right, certainly good to have those options.

Is there a date yet for the cup semi final?
I think its the first weekend of April, I'd imagine we will get some sort of official announcement from club next week for anyone who wants to attend the game.
-
McHugh i'd argue has been one of our best players this season, probably the best out of the signings we've made this season, i think he's a clever player personally.
I noticed Robinson said in his interview that he is trying to rush Tait back from injury for the first game after Rangers which is Accies at fir park.

Who was it on here that said the Well Society was told that the manager ( McGhee ) was in full control of the football side of the club?
Is that true? Did it really happen?
Who the fuck in their right mind thought it was a cracking plan to give playing contracts to eight players aged 32 plus?
This is lunacy. It's down to the board and Burrows.
I don't expect the board or Burrows to puck the team, but the notion that any club would gamble their future on a short term management appointment ( as they have been since McLean ) is MENTAL.
McCall and Butcher didn't seem like gambles to me and were here for a fairly decent period of time. But that said any appointment you make is a gamble no matter who it is, its up to that person to make the most of what they have available.
-
I wonder if Robinson can be the main to revive Ainsworth back into the player he once was, McGhee has gone so no more hanging him out to dry. But it wouldnt surprise me to see Ainsworth start to feature again in terms of us needing pace in the side.
-
McGhee was told by the board after losing 3-0 at home to hearts that he had until the dundee game to turn things round and failing then a change would need to be made, nothing wrong with that, McGhee had lost the plot and was taking us in a downward spiral so it was absolutely the right call to bin him.

Ian Baraclough coming back as assistant.
Robinson said this morning McFadden remaining as assistant till at least the summer.
-
If Valakari hadnt played for us 20 years ago nobody would give a fuck about him, the reason on most people for him to get the job was he won leagues etc in Finland, so had Baraclough and look what happened, big difference managing a part time side in Finland to full time football here and no experience of a relegation dogfight.
That said Robinson wasnt my first choice nor were the likes of Hughes etc, but as i usually say every appointment is a gamble its now up to Robinson to show he has learned from his experience at Oldham and provide results to keep us in the league here and i actually believe he can do that.
Now is time for us to get behind Robinson at the team and act as the 12th man to save us from the relegation scrap.

Chalmers and Blyth were a fucking embarrassment with their performances tonight, seen better at junior level.
-
Some fans would always have an excuse to stay away regardless of whos manager.

The just of it from what i gather the club is solely due to be funded off any income which comes into the club ie through transfers, sponsorships etc but also they do get some loans to help plug any shortfalls from the Well Society, i'm not sure tho whether that loan gets repaid back to the Society.
-
Ask them why.
The opinion I got from those telling me was they simply just don't like the guy, so that's probably all the reason is the fact they don't like him. Certainly anytime I've met Scott I've find him a very likeable guy and is certainly passionate about the club.
-
I had heard of rumours a wee while back that Leitch isnt popular with the club hierarchy, he has done well with the academy but I had heard last year at one point of rumours of people trying to force Leitch into leaving the club. Probably nonsense but just stuff that i've heard from people in the past.

Could actually go 352 with a back 3 of Ferguson, McHugh and Jules which could work as long as we have the right personnel ahead of them in midfield.
-
Hopefully we will see our new manager this week and get that new manager bounce that some teams get when they get someone new in. We have Moult back for this one which is crucial as well, I feel we need to win this going into the international break, we go to ibrox after that so 3 points here would be a welcome boost.
-
I see our former defender Craig Reid is playing for Peterhead this afternoon, must've signed for them recently.
-
“To be fair, they were straight on the phone to us and the league after the match."
I was at a meeting at fir park on the night we lost that game and flagged it up with Alan Burrows but I'm sure Dunfermline did contact as well.
-
Quite glad i flagged this up with the club as well lol, takes us top although we are currently losing 1-0 to Ross County under 20s so it's a short lived time at the top.

They can bring in anyone they like the fact is they sold Stewart and Hemmings their main source of goals and replaced it with dross this season, I dont see any manager suddenly making them a free scoring team all of a sudden. They are welcome to Mark McGhee.
