I must have missed this one, but I see Liam Grimshaw is playing for Chesterfield, is that loan or permanent move from Preston?
Loan deal to the end of the season for Grimshaw, went through quite late on deadline day.

I wouldnt be surprised if Ainsworth does start today, Robinson made the point in his press conference most teams up here particularly those in the top 6 all have pace so we might see that today. I'd also try playing Cadden in the middle of the park today alongside one of Lasley, Lucas or Campbell, that would give us some pace in the middle as well.

I think that's twice in a row Aberdeen have lost at New Douglas Park, we were due to play this midweek against Killie, so hopefully get a result on Saturday and go back 3 points ahead of them again.

Been strong rumours of Coyle tonight, would be surprised if he was willing to come back to Scotland tho.

Probably feel he is ready for first team, think Bowman has had less time to play compared to Blyth so was a chance for him to top up his fitness.

If we do bin McGhee it wont be a manager whos with a club that replaces him it will be someone whos free and looking to get back in straight away

It was mentioned on the Podcast that Jim McMahon is in hospital. Hopefully it's nothing too serious but it may delay the inevitable.

Yeah Dickie is vice chairman but as Alan Burrows is on the board as well I believe he can also make the decision on their behalf.

We had well over 120 odd applications for the job before McGhee came back and i reckon we'd get a similar number again if he departs, plenty good and available candidates out there, even ones i cant think of at thae moment but its up to the board to make sure they get this decision right.
The other alternative we get someone experienced on an interim basis like to steady the ship then look towards the longer term future in the summer with say a guy like Valakari who can dismantle the deadwood and bring in his own guys whilst being supplemented by the talent from Craigans under 20s side.

Wonder if Dunfermline realised the boy Duthie who was apparently impressive was also supposed to be suspended for the game today, be interesting to see if any sanctions come for the boy playing and scoring the winner.

Yeah there is and we are to receive an additional 250k this summer from Celtic being in the champions league group stage this season.

It was mentioned for the first time in 12 years we had money in the bank at this stage of the season and are in a healthy state of mind.
So we obviously have some money at the club from doing things properly.

The other thing the press seem to have forgotten is Tierney takes a dreadful first touch and the ball goes way up in the air so Bowman was well within his rights to go for it and does get the ball just unfortunate as his foot comes back down he hits Tierney in the leg. Brendan Rodgers blamed the surface than Bowman himself.

I personally thought it wasnt a penalty and was very soft but its the celtic way, slightest touch and throw yourself down for a penalty.
I also the back 4 of McMillan, Heneghan, Jules and Chalmers held their own pretty well against the best team in the league, we could easily get away with them against some of the bottom 6 sides, looking towards the future in sense without McManus and Hammell.
Squad nearly back at full strength for next weekend with Tait and McHugh both returning so i feel we have a squad more than capable of keeping us up.

We could be planning for next season in a sense by having Robinson back and not renewing McGhees contract in the summer, that may mean the next manager comes from within, whether that's Craigan, McFadden or Robinson himself, who knows but it wouldn't surprise me if that was the case.

He's got a hip injury so could be going down south to get it assessed by a specialist. But nothing would surprise me if we have got shot of him as well, McGhee is very quick to decide he doesn't want players at Fir Park, Laing being a prime example.

One of my memories of Vigurs was him giving the ball away at firhill against Partick, not having the pace to keep with the guy who ran past him and then he turned and absolutely slaughtered Fraser Kerr for it when it was Vigurs fault, my opinion of him as well was that he was lazy so it would be a no from me having him in our team.

Its usually McGhee who decides which first team players play for the 20s so id imagine he feels Bowman doesnt need the game time for under 20s.

They can have Ojamaa he was pish the last time we had him at Fir Park, never got close to replicating the quality he showed in his very first spell with us.

To be honest we cant compare ourselves to England, financially they are in a different world to scottish football, most championship clubs probably pay more in wages than everyone in our league bar Celtic. We will never have the financial resources, so league 1 with some teams, league 2 and conference is where we will shop nowadays for players from England.
