  1. I reckon most of those out of contract will go, the manager did say at the AGM Rose has been offered a new deal but hasn't came back to him whether he will sign it, apparently his wife may be keen to go back to America, Rose he felt wants to stay here.

Bowman I think is a certainty to go as are the likes of Watt, Griffiths, Grimshaw and possibly Newell or Petra.

  2. In this game a manager lives or dies by his signings so Robinson should be out the door by February ,when you sign players of the ilk of Rose ,Fisher , Frear, Dunne , Bigi, then your halfway out the door .We caught everybody out at the start of the season got to a final but once teams sussed us out our manager has been found wanting and playing players out of position doesn't help .

Robinson certainly wont be out the door anytime soon, You'd also be shocked to find that per 90 mins Elliot Frear puts in the most crosses into the box, he's certainly not a dud that your making nor is Bigi who is one of our most creative midfielders at the club. In terms of the youngsters the manager recently stated at the AGM that the youngsters of Adam Livingstone, David Turnbull, Barry Maguire and Ross Maclean are very close to being ready to step into the first team. I'm certainly not for chucking in a whole load of kids early and watch them look well out their depth, when they are ready they will play simple, that's whole ethos of the club.

  3. That's all we did with the scots was look at them, most are out of contract this summer so probably being looked at for next season rather than now.

Mchugh isn't suspended for the Ross county game, he served his ban in the last game with accies, it's an error on SFA website.

  4. Went to attend today's game against Dundee Utd at Stirling to find it had been postponed. I did check twitter before leaving with no news of the postponement, by the time I got to Stirling, there was a tweeter feed to say that due to injuries and illness for Dundee Utd players they requested it could be postponed. When we arrived at Stirling the girl said that the groundsman postponed it yesterday due to the condition of the park. Not sure who was telling the truth and not that bothered, but just hope the official MFC site is correct.

I know it was only an under 20's game but there a few of us attend these games and would appreciate that the club could inform supporters on social media/MFC website a little bit earlier to avoid unnecessary travel.

The game had also been moved to Airdrie albeit never announced officially by the club on twitter but seen a response from Alan Burrows telling someone had the game gone ahead it was moved to Airdrie due to stirlings pitch being waterlogged.

  5. I thought Hammell was one of our best players yesterday, also very impressed by Newell who's not fully match sharp yet after a long lay off but would play him for the 20s during the week before starting him next saturday as he looked more likely to score than either Bowman or Fisher.

  6. A potential player id look at if i was Motherwell is Lewis Vaughan of Raith Rovers, 21 year old striker who has 23 goals in all competitions this season and would meet our model of someone we can bring in develop further and move on for a hefty profit.

  7. Maclean started the Edinburgh city cup game, then came on up at dingwall which I think was the last time he played for us, wouldn't surprise me if he actually goes out on loan in January. Since we've done so well in the league the youngsters have had to wait longer for their debuts.

  8. Did not make it yesterday, but talking to someone who went saying that reckons Moult pulled up with possible hamstring and also Carson also having a shoulder injury, hope they are both fit for Tynecastle?

Moult will be fine, it was a tight hamstring for him and he went off as a precaution. Carson shoulder was definitely affecting him, could barely move his arm for the last 2 goals if he was ok I reckon he would've got to the header that Tait tried to get back to him for the 4th goal. If he's out then I've got plenty faith in Russell Griffiths stepping in for him.

  9. Agreed. Add to their names those of Plummer and Newell, and you have the basis for some readjustment of the squad.

Newell has been injured for the last couple months, I believe had to get go for an operation which is why he hasn't featured in any squads let alone the under 20s. Plummer has been fit but perhaps hasn't had the desired impact they thought when he signed.
