Who else is thinking there will be a guaranteed penalty for Rangers today or a red card for Motherwell. Ref got to even up from last week....
Craig Thomson is the ref so its absolutely nailed on to happen

He has been injured with a hamstring problem but is now back training and we should see him in the squad for Saturday.

Thought Liam Donnelly had an excellent game and was our best defender by a mile last night, also thought Bowman had a good game and his goal was spectacular didn't think he had that in his locker.

If only the manager of this well-performing youth side would entertain making the step up to the first team. That's what's frustrated me over the past few years.
And yeah, I know he enjoys his BT gig and all that jazz, but still, he's looking like someone who could step up and do a job in the senior game.
He could definitely do the job and I've been a fan of him one day becoming manager but I think his view is he's got much more job security with reserves and doing his stuff BT, managing at senior level can be quite relentless if you through a bad run.

McHugh was very good before the mistake he made and will be very lucky if Carson isn't out for a considerable period of time, he was decent after the mistake but he was also fault for the Dundee goal a couple weeks ago as well when he lost his man for a free header but that aside I will give him the benefit of the doubt. I reckon the back 3 will look a lot a better and stronger when we get the pace of Charles Dunne back in there.

Good tie for the boys, they will fear nobody in this cup competition, I believe it's played during the next international break so hopefully they let them have the game at Fir Park.
I see Connor Sammon plays for the reserves today, I suspect that's due to he cant play on Saturday because of the loan arrangement I reckon.
-
There is definitely a sell on for Kipre when the day comes that he moves on to a bigger club than Wigan, hopefully for big big money so we can really benefit out of it as well. I honestly believe Kipre could become a 20 million pound player.

I suspect that Neil McCann is part of the Scots old boys network and our tame media won't want to rock the boat.
I'm getting a wee bit concerned about Alan Campbell and the amount of games he's played and is scheduled to play, including internationals. It was great to see him score on Saturday and he's continuing to do well but I think he's lost a little bit of zip since last season. Hopefully Robbo will be mindful fo the dangers of burnout.
I think the best thing we can do for Allan is use him on a rotation basis, I'd be looking at Gorrin to play some games with Allan getting a break and we can alternate them depending on who the opposition is, think that would be the best thing for Campbell at this stage. Next real break the players get from any kind of football is the winter break which could prove vital, as we have yet another extremely busy period in December.

Scott is injured at the moment, but should be back fairly soon, I saw him doing some work with the physio when I passed by the training this morning.

Turnbull and Maguire aren't involved in the reserves today. Are they possibly going on loan?
Also Akeal Rehman is a new name. Possibly ex Wolves?
Nothing in it with Turnbull and Maguire, they were both training with 1st team today. Rehman is a new name on me, think Craigan has had him in on trial over the summer.

Oh well we are fucked, stick on for a Motherwell red card on Sunday!

What has happend to Donnelly I don't recall seeing he was injured.
That pitch is terrible worst iv saw, the pitch at the back of stand looked better surely something must be done look at the negative press we got with our sand pitch.
Donnelly picked up an injury the day before the accies game and is out for 3 weeks, still at least we have Maguire as a back up option on the bench at the moment.
-
I reckon we will see a vast improvement at the top end of the pitch when Bowman and Tanner especially are fit, both were key to our success last season and will be again this season, I think Tanner coming back will be like a new signing to the squad.

Two? Do League Cup games not count like? We have played 6 games and been utterly horseshit in every one!
Im not saying sack him right now, but unless he picks up a Minimum of a point v Hearts & Rangers plus a win v Livvy in the cup I believe his jacket should be on a very shoogly peg.
Just worried we are gonna go with cheap option Lasley to get us out of the mess Robbo is leaving us in
Lasley with Craigan to start with would probably be the temporary management team if we were to sack Robbo however im hopeful we can start stringing a few results together starting next week at Livi.

Manager saying in this BBC article he's quite content with the squad now we've signed Mbulu sounds unlikely we will sign anyone else.

3-0 Well, lets get them humped, get some real positivity for the weekend then let the media spend all week creaming over Gerrard coming to Fir Park the following Sunday to deal with our hammer throwers.

Does anyone know what is happening with the elusive George Newall?
Yet another player that is injury prone, would it not be better to off load him during this transfer window as even if fit I don't think he is going to make it.
He's back training at the moment, for how long is the question before he inevitably breaks down again. I cant see him getting many if any games this year for the first team would expect he will feature in Craigan's reserves.

I don’t even know where to begin Guys...
truth be told, I’m quite appaled by the utter appathy/ reservation amongst our support.
despite being hounded on these boards for the last few hours, I have the best intentions of the club at heart.
I’m a significant monthly contributor to the well society and ‘was’ a season ticket holder for almost 20 years yet according to the majority, I’m talking utter nonsense with No sense of the club.
I’ve never once advocated us paying too high wages (I realize where we are in terms of stature and finances), yet what I’ve advoated is a lack of acceptance in reverting to ‘type’.
why the fuck should we settle for being a wee club with a wee mentality?
Yes, be realistic, but also think big guys.
lets have an ambition of competing in the top 4/5/6 cbtw, to the poster above, im long in the tooth enough to remember Boyle)
I agree about the whole ambition side of things but it seems the priority year in year out for the board under the current format we operate at now is to make sure we survive in the top flight, albeit if we can push for top 6 then great, but the main priority every season is and will be survival and I don't see that changing any time soon.
-
I've said it to a few people recently with the English window closing next Thursday at 5pm I wouldn't be surprised if we lost a couple players before or after the hibs game, no doubt if Kipre goes then it wouldn't surprise me if we want to bring in another defender.
-
Think Carson has played with the shoulder issue most of his career, certainly hasn't stopped him looking like a top keeper that's for sure.

The pace of Boyle worries me against our back 3, I wonder if its worth putting Tait there for no other reason than he's quicker than Kipre, Hartley and McHugh, could then have a Grimshaw or Cadden at wing back to get up and down the pitch.

League - 7th place.
League Cup - Quarter Final
Scottish Cup - Quarter Final
Player of the Year - Richard Tait
Young Player of the Year - Allan Campbell
Top Goalscorer - Danny Johnson
Season wishes - To have a good challenge at going for top 6, reasonable runs in the cup and hopefully see the likes of Maguire and Turnbull cement a place in the team before the season is out and be 1st picks by next season. I also have the feeling we will lose a player maybe 2 either this summer or in January. Trevor Carson and Cadden are my predictions we will sell for good money.

I see Robinson is saying on the STV sport page that he will be offloading some squad players in January and promoting some of the younger ones to the squad, better late than never I guess.
