Rose has always been seen as a main player by Robinson that wont change, Bowman we don't even know yet if he's going to be fit for sunday either. I like Frear think he's great player when attacking and during our successful period in the early part of last season was vital to our success with his crosses into the box for the likes of Moult etc. We know virtually what most of the team is for Sunday bar one or two, Cadden is supposedly doubtful now and if Bowman makes it I'd start him over Main whos been horrifically bad during pre season and the group games so far. My midfield 3 during the season would be Bigi, Gorrin and Turnbull, total football with them, there isn't a hope in hell we will ever see those 3 play together sadly.

The improving 12-16 is one of the daftest things i've heard considering how poorly we played for long spells last season.
Robinson hasn't adressed our lack of creativity in the final third and we don't look any better off on the left hand side.
With the young players Robinson will no doubt say they're not ready than admit he's wasted the club's money padding out the squad unneccesarily.
The 12-16 is down to how badly we coped after the betfred cup final during December/January when injuries virtually killed us. Robinsons mindset was we need the strength in depth if we the same problems this season.

Frear is my pick, set up 2 goals, puts some great crosses into the box every game, don't ask him to win 50/50s or defend as that's not his style, get him to attack and put a cross in that's where he's an asset. Gorrin also changed the game as we finally got a grip of the midfield when he was on.

Anybody worked out what the structure is for the new "Reserve" format this year?
Do we still need to play a certain number of U20s (or U21s or whatever), or can teams just pack their side with senior pros? Is it a merit based league or regional? Is there still the equivalent of a U20s cup? I haven't read or heard much about it.
I'm sure I saw Craigan say to someone on twitter last night its much the same format as under 20s only rebranded as reserves, will be interesting to see whether or not the bigger clubs like Rangers and Celtic actually play senior players in it now, they've mostly just gone with kids and left squad players with virtually no game time. Would benefit our younger ones if they get to face 4 or 5 senior pros on a weekly basis.

Petravicius should have been nowhere near our club. The fact he was continually given game time doesn't mean we should lower our expectations and accept journeymen who failed at our rivals.
I'm more amazed that Falkirk have since signed Petravicius and gave him a 2 year deal as well, how he continues to make a living as a footballer gives me hope I could dust out the boots and look to make a go of things.

I see Shea Gordon has scored twice for Partick at Stenhousemuir today

It appears that Crawford looks set to sign for Doncaster down south having knocked back Dundee Utd.

I think we will see a couple players from the squad offloaded this summer as well but overall the manager certainly wants more strength in depth behind his first choice 11. I reckon from what happened during the horrific run in December has a played a part in the kind of players we are recruiting just now.

Tony Watt?
He certainly isn't a creative midfielder

Seen a wee snippet in the daily record today that Dumbarton are going to sound out Motherwell about taking George Newell on loan, I think that would be a good move for him actually to go there and get games as well as hopefully rattle in a few goals and get his confidence up.

In an ideal world we’d sign a few more Scots.
It would be ideal but Robinson himself said we get priced out the market for other Scottish players so our budget makes it easier to recruit guys from down south whilst bringing through our young talent into the first team.

No its grass, it's because of that the under 20s played most of their games at Stirling last season, hope they keep up the good work with their pitch.

Given we have the reserve format for next season I wouldn't look to much into other than its probably someone to fill a space for Craigan as he's likely lost the likes of Maguire, Turnbull and Scott to be part of the 1st team next season

Campbell is contracted till 2021 its gonna take a hell of a bid right now to sign him, id say Cadden could be a possibility as he only has a year left on his deal so it wouldn't surprise me to see an offer come in for him.

Doubt they will be the kits since McEwan Fraser are no longer sponsors, I believe the hold up in the new kits being unveiled is the delay in getting a sponsor finalised.
-
I believe if you take Moult out the equation then the next top scorer for us with 10 goals in all competitions was Ryan Bowman, not bad going for a guy who many feel isn't good enough for our level.

Top 6 and anything from quarter finals onwards in the cup will do me nicely next season.

James Scott posted on his Instagram he's signed a new deal and Watt put out a tweet saying he's away

Thought Barry Maguire was outstanding, never put a foot wrong all day, Grimshaw also ran the midfield today, bigi was simple but effective in there and Aldred also solid as ever so if I had to choose one I'm going for Maguire this afternoon.

I see both John Sutton and Robbie Leitch have been released by St Mirren
-
He's also hopeless, thankfully he's only on loan and will be punted back to Southend come the summer
-
Daily Record article hints that Main getting more checks today but could be available to face Dundee this weekend since scans show he hasn't fractured his wrist as first feared.

Do what Jamie Vardy did when Leicester won the league, strap it up and play on.

I see Ali Crawford is leaving Accies in the summer.
He could do the proverbial job in our midfield - although I suspect he'll be aiming a little higher (or a little better paid).
Accies fans think he's been useless for the last 2 years or so, I hope we stay well clear of him. We already have better options and there are other better options out there we could bring in, an example being O'Hara of Dundee who I think would fit into our style of play far better.

They reckon Bowman will be touch and go to make the hibs game so it doesn't sound like he will be out for too long.
