Robinson isnt the sort to ease up despite the opposition, be a couple changes but nothing that will substantially weaken the team, we will win comfortably tonight and Saturday against Berwick. -
I was at the game as well, mostly all the usual under 20s you'd expect with Shea Gordon the only exception, the likes of Campbell, McMillan and Maclean all training with 1st team ahead of tomorrows game.

I personally thought Quitongo did nothing of note yesterday, heard all the hype about him last season and saw nothing yesterday to show what the fuss is about. -
He's still contracted to Leeds, I've heard their new manager wants to let him prove himself at Leeds. He was also bang average for us scoring 5 goals in the entire season which is a pretty poor return imo, he's definitely not on a par with Moult
-
He's never going to cut it with us so probably best to let him go and try his hand elsewhere, any time he's started a game for us he's made zero impact.
-
Ayr were asked to eventually change their kit to a colour clash, i believe only players Craigan had from first team were Campbell and Gordon, Turnbull came on for 1st team. Great result for the boys against a strong Ayr 1st team who have played a few more games than our boys.
-
Few guys missing today but i suspect they may be with the under 20s who are playing Ayr Utd 1st team in a behind closed doors match today.
-
Probably about his level.

I think to fully judge the trialists id go with a back 4 on tuesday night of Tait, Kipre, Dembele and Dunne to see how they handle the step up in opposition, give them 60 mins to see how it works then decide accordingly after that. I think the boy Tuton would've had more out of the game if he was included in our second half team on saturday as we actually played a bit of football and got some balls into the box, rather than the more route 1 approach first half.
-
I'd be surprisd if they didnt as we showed the highlights of all our pre season games last year.
-
There was a bit of chat about Aaron Taylor Sinclair being a left back we were looking at, not anymore he's signed for Plymouth.
-
Would make sense as Faddy and Naysmith have been good pals since they played at Everton, i could see him a player/coach capacity there.
-
Daily Record now reporting Hearts make an improved 300k offer for Cadden.
-
No idea on the name other than it's a bald guy lol, the female physio Aileen Anderson was also there so looks like we have 2 physios for next season.
-
Moult was doing some one to one work with the physio at training today, so he is working his way back from an injury sustained at the end of last season.
-
Yeah daily record has an article about Mackin and they seem to suggest he's knocked back Killie to sign with Livingston.
-
Cant see us signing a right back with Tait still being there and probably having McMillan, Watt and Cadden who can fill in there if he gets injured.
-
Both kits are absolutely brilliant, will definitely be buying both, the best we've had for quite some time in my opinion.
-
My goal is same as every season, i expect to see us challenge for top 6 and at least have a run in both cups, if we do then i'm pretty happy with that.
-
I reckon it will be Lasley, i initially thought Baraclough would be back as assistant when Robinson took the job as he had him at Oldham but as Baraclough left to take up the Northern Ireland under 21s job that will rule him out. My absolute preference is that we go for an outsider with fresh ideas rather than promoting from within all the time as i feel thats played a part in holding us back.
-
We've certainly got a proven track record of reviving players careers or developing players further that allows them to make a step up the ladder in the English game so i could see players being tempted to come to us for that sort of thing knowing what we offer in terms of wages while they are here. That might give us a wee advantage over other clubs in making signings.

Robbo sticking the boot in, I reckon he has a point here!! Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson – who wouldn’t confirm his no. 2 James McFadden will stay at Fir Park – said: “I thought our players celebrating when we were 3-2 down was embarrassing. “That mentality can’t stay at this club, it doesn’t matter whether it’s the last game of the season or not. “Perhaps that’s why we were where we were all season – maybe it was too easy to lose games “I met with the board on Friday to discuss my budget for next year. We have 13 contracted players and I’ll be trying to wheel and deal.”

McDonald is the only one out of the over 30 brigade that's earned his time with us the last couple of years and has decided he's offski. I think Robinson feels the likes of Hammell and McManus may be better off with more off field roles as they certainly don't contribute as much as they used to on it, but a lot of that will determine what kind of players we recruit this summer.

Read a quote from Robinson who seemed quite scathing that we had 4 over 30 players on decent contracts and seemed to suggest that type of thing wont be happening under his time here which i welcome. He then said i need to see where older players in terms of coaching badges and see if they can offer anything off the pitch.
