  1. I think Craigan speaks well in his interviews personally, much more enjoyable than McGhee saying you know about 200 times. I think Craigan would be tempted to be first team manager but feels there is much more job security in his current role so wouldn't be in a hurry to leave.
  2. He also went off with a knock for the u20s today as well, hopefully nothing serious.
  3. We didn't get beat so that's a rather strange comment!
  4. Blyth had been training but suffered a Quadracep injury about 5 weeks ago but is due to train again during the winter break, Kennedy has a hip problem and should train over winter break as well. Chalmers had a second op on his injury I heard but is back running when I saw the team training on Thursday. Craig Moore also not far away from full training as well which is good news.
  5. I've heard several players including McManus who played last night werent fully fit, which begs the question why play them if they arent fit, play those who are even if it means drafting in the under 20s. Thought Cadden looked miles off the pace last night as well, poorest i've seen him this season.
  6. Possibly not but that said, the likes of McMillan, MacLean and Cadden would all be eligible so could see them possibly selected.
  7. Michael Higdon has come out of retirement to sign for Welsh side Bangor City
  8. The general chat about the about the top 8 academy proposal is that its almost certain to be a closed shop and the clubs in the top 8 will do the absolute minimum to stay there to stop clubs like us getting in if it were pushed through. Hopefully with Malky Mackay now in as performance director he will be able to see the work we have done with the youngsters we are producing in the academy and shows that we merit being involved in the elite academy set up.
  9. We DON'T need to sell anyone in January this was confirmed at AGM so all our current squad will stay together until at least the summer barring an offer we simply cant refuse in January which at the moment isn't on the table. I could see maybe one or two squad players moved out and others brought in to replace them but nothing major to our key players.
  10. Did Lucas not play something like only 4 games in 6 years at Swansea due to injuries so we knew what we were getting when he came in. That said in the Ross County game he was very impressive, if we could get him fit for a run of even 10-15 games then id be inclined to keep him as he looked a classy player who was spraying around passes for fun.
  11. They estimate at this stage that we should make around 270k from the Rangers cup game and next summer we receive a solidarity payment of 250k as a result of Celtic getting into the group stages of the champions league, money thats vital to the club.
  12. I remember a great goal Sheridan scored for us up at Inverness, edge of the box in off the post in the top corner. I seem to recall that helped us win 2-1 or something like that.
  13. Cant see McGhee getting rid of Blyth considering he signed him on a two year deal with the option of a third year so its safe to say he will be hanging around. I do reckon we may see the club flog Laing permanently in january and perhaps Craig Moore as well. Belic will definitely go back to West Ham, i've heard the reason he doesnt play is simply down the fact he's meant to be rank rotten.
  14. Really hoping we have Lee Lucas is fit for this one and put him in ahead of Lasley, he's shown in the Ross County game that he's the best passer of the ball at the club and will vital in a game like Celtic. Hopefully Chalmers may be fit so if he wants to change it there we have McMillan and Joe ahead of Hammell.
  15. Hearts scrambling to a 3-3 draw after being 3-1 down at hamilton tonight suggest they could be there for the taking on saturday.
  16. Nah they dont need to be injured to be in the signing zone, they usually turn up at 1.30pm on match days for their team talk before warming up so im assuming the times allocated means they can do both.
  17. I would say for midfield the hope is Allan Campbell will develop into a top player i know that some of the older players have referred to him as younger type of Keith Lasley sort of player but with bags of ability as well. So i would guess the plan would be to try and have him integrated into the first team squad before the season is out.
  18. The corner to a goal kick wasnt right at all, Moult smacked the ball off the dundee player, it was a corner clear as day and one of several baffling calls Beaton had yesterday. The Sunday Mail gave Beaton a rating 3/10 for his performance which I think says it all.
  19. I see Jamie Murphy got a goal for Brighton today.
  20. Kerr is now at Albion Rovers as their under 20s manager
  21. Hammell and Lasley back in the squad tomorrow, id have to say on the basis of how much better the team looked without them last week, its got to be a place on the bench for them.
  22. I will never not attend games at fir park, no matter how good or shite the team is, who the manager is etc etc, I will always be there and never turn my back on the club. Even if we were in League 2 playing week in week out i'd still be there, maybe i'm a mug for being such a big fan of the club but in the words of Sevco fans, I wont do walking away.
  23. Well that may be some trying to disrupt things but anytime i've been down personally to watch or passing by the pitches in the car i've always seen McGhee there like i said but apart from International breaks. I'm sure he does go home to Brighton from time to time but he did that regularly during our first spell and didnt really affect matters.
  24. I live at the training ground and I can assure you that more often than not McGhee is there taking training alongside McFadden, during international breaks however Faddy does take the training for a few days during this period and assisted by Jim Hollman the keeper coach and Stephen Craigan.
