WTF did we do in Portugal for a week? Last night we were playing a part-time team who had players that would have had to get time aff their work to travel to Scotland. I bet they could never, ever dream of spending a week together training in the Med. (Apart from the fact they would need factor 200). Our players take it for granted that they are so far ahead of part time teams in terms of facilities and opportunities. Also, did we do actual fitness training in Portugal or just dick about playing footgolf? It should have been men and boys last night. For the first 30 min it was, I actually think we commited the cardinal sin of taking the foot off the gas, our players seemed to feel sorry for theirs rather than putting it to bed! Then our lack of cutting edge was down to game practice. We should have had 2 or 3 friendlies against Scottish Champ teams to prepare for that game last night.

Was down at Newcastle v Derby a few years ago and Pearo was captain for Derby and absolutely ran the show, looked very accomplished. Albeit he played centre mid that day and I think has mostly done for a few years. Not an area we need covered. Good footballer but doubt he has the legs for left mid anymore.

Why the Fuck would I have paid for food and drink if I wasn't going to Iceland!?

Eh, aye it will. Flights there and back were £220. Just need to arrange transport to and from airport (Manchester and Luton) and a bed in a youth hostel. Plenty of choice. Clearly I won't book them if we are going to Wales!

3 of us heading to Iceland :-D Although while 2 of us fly out from Manchester at 7AM on the Thursday 1 of my mates can't get Thursday off work so is flying out on the 5PM flight from Edinburgh, gets in 40 minutes before kick off! He will be lucky to see the 2nd half!! Then we are going out to get completely pished in Reykjavik till 4AM and go straight to the airport for our morning flight back! Will be the shortest 'holiday' ever for him, less than 12 hours!

I hate that: Aberdeen St Johnstone St mirren Kilmarnock Dundee Utd Hearts Hibs Livingston Raith Rovers and Rangers, kind of. Have all held aloft cups more recently than us. I'm 30 years old FFS and haven't seen us lift one (moved to Lanarkshire in 91 - August, raging!) And the bottom 5 clubs in that list are First Division! But have all lifted trophies. We need to sort that, its actually going to become an issue soon and a source of embarassment for us.

I would spin at as, it's a chuffing FIVER more that what everyone is 'more than happy' to pay. Now I'm not saying the price of football, Scottish football anyway is acceptable but the club do NEED the money and this price point will bring in the most money, simple. Folk moaning about it will have 6 weeks to scrape together 5 pounds. If you smoke that's less than 2 less fags a week, if you drink it's a couple less pints next time you're out etc.... No brainer pricing for me, the club need it and we can all afford it.

I'm really hoping we offered Faddy something and he knocked it back. Would be gutted if we just told him to beat it, you never know he might have played for hee haw! At least on a rolling basis or something. You never know, he might not get anything and continue to train with us like he has done before.

We were talking about this on the way to the game yesterday. Imagine St Mirren or St Johnstone had been in Europe 5 seasons out of the last 6, had finished second ahead of all the city clubs last year, sitting second/third all season again and were in with a shout of finishing 'best of the rest' for the THIRD time in a row, again ahead of the city clubs?? In fact never mind fellow provincial clubs like St Mirren doing that, imagine Aberdeen, Hibs or Utd done that!? They would be absolutely creaming themselves silly. I used to think it was a lot of shite that we get a raw deal in the media but it is noticeable now when you hear the sheer amount of airtime and plaudits the likes of St Johnstone get for consistently finishing BELOW us. Madness.

I'd maybe just swap Sutty for Anier. Last game big John Sutton came off the bench and scored while Anier was ok but not great. Sutty's really got to get in the team off of that. I'd maybe swap Lawson for Vigurs and leave the defence if no one can come back. 2-0 to the well!! Faddy and Sutton!!

What gets me this season is pundits, writers and general folk giving it the 'What's happened to Motherwell' like we are 1 point ahead of Hearts at the shady end of the league. Sitting second now I bet we still hear about United, Aberdeen and Inver Fucking ness. Well done everyone at the club for the last 3 results. 3 wins on the trot, two away from home and all with an 11 year old midget in nets.

Na Top 4 would be. Top 6 would be a decent season but not that good. There's still 6 teams worse than us in that league: Hearts, Hibs, St Mirren, Killie, Thistle and Ross County so finishing above them is 'job done' but nothing more.

Aye you forgot to multiply the Motherwell fans by, say, 40 years. Because if someone gives up the ghost that's what Motherwell lose out on, we have all seen it. If Celtic fans are barred for a game or even spit the dummy and 'boycott' a ground it only lasts a game or two.

And fag packet maths granted but 20 home fans wrapping it IS a greater financial impact than the income from away fans from 1 Celtic game. Don't know why you can't figure that out? Not saying 20 will but these instances of lying down to the bullies will be the straw that breaks the Camel's back for some.

Really sad to see that u are happy that this is getting swept under the carpet. What is the point in Football if we let ourselves be shat on time and time again. Sure it could cost us money to ban the Celtic hoards but they come once or twice a season. I'm fed up of our club just accepting that this mob and their other half can do as they please. I'm sure others are as well. Apathy is rife enough around our club, sweeping this under the carpet could cost the club fans. Just 20 fans calling it a day will cost the club more money than a Celtic game! About time we realised that.
