Robinson 'unavailable for selection' today. 'Will Robinson play for the club again?' ' Don't know'
-
Bruce Anderson out of contract at the end of the season. Done well at Accies, young, potential for development/sell on and he sounds like he's desperate for a chance to kick on. Not sure what the compensation rules are though. Wouldn't sign him as the main striker but I think he's a player with a wee bit of potential.

I've not seen my girlfriend since 20th December and I think I've seen her maybe 5 or 6 times in the last year. It's infuriating as these idiots will probably send the R number back up again and further extend lock down. However I do think the police have a difficult job. There has to be a trade off between public health and public safety when you have thousands of boozed up cretins around. The government however is becoming a bit like the boy that cried wolf. They keep saying they are going to do something and don't. They are in a better position to take action than the police are.

McInnes is a dreadful manager. I'd love to see this place if we'd 1 goal in 9 matches and 2 wins in 13. And that's with a much higher budget than the majority of the league. This is a guy that has regularly changed shape and personnel to defend as soon as they go 1-0 up, regardless of location or opponents. Now they can't even score. They have lost good players but basically as a manager McInnes is a dud. They have pretty much been dire for the last three seasons.
-
Winning 5 out of the last 9 has had a pretty radical effect on our position though. We were shite before Alexander came in.
-
Hibs have a better squad than the rest, they should be 3rd every day of the week. Aberdeen have lost most of their better players and McInnes is an absolutely dreadful manager so it wouldn't surprise me to see them in the mix next season with the rest of us.

We didn't really have a functional team when Alexander arrived but he's made good choices to establish a starting XI that works. Cole was in and out under Robinson, he's started every game under Alexander. Maguire, not before time, has been brought in and given a run in the correct position. We brought in a top class goalkeeper. Roberts has performed better than Robinson's wide players. Guys like Seedorf, White, Polworth have been ditched. We are not out the woods yet but Alexander just seems like he's a more competent judge of players and knows better how a team clicks together than Robinson did. Even when Robinson did get it right it usually felt like he was forced into it or it happened by accident.

Don't really agree with that. I was hoping for a Ross County win. Another 3 points ahead of Killie and 2 ahead of Accies and another game scored off. 1 more win will do it for us. However, we should be aiming for 7th place now.

With 20 minutes to go we should all still be shitting it
-
Well we could relax for all of a couple of minutes!

Livingston are stuffy but most definitely beatable - provided we put in a performance. Potentially two and maybe all three teams below us could drop points today so a win today would be absolutely massive. A win and a draw in the next two pretty much keeps us up.

Top 3 keeper in the league with McGregor and Siegrist.
-
On this 'logic' Hamilton are much better than us.
-
Even his stint as manager was before my time but undoubtably one of our all time great players and he always came across as a good guy that never forgot his roots. It's a sad day for Motherwell FC.

Bartley, Pittman, Forrest, Guthrie....I think their full backs have been better than ours so you could have Devlin and Serrano in there. I'd also say Mullin is probably better than any wide player we have at the moment. Efe Ambrose would probably start in our team and are guys like Sibbald, Lawson, Holt, lesser players than Crawford, O'Hara, Maguire, Polworth etc? Don't think so. Crawford is here because he hasn't featured at Livingston this season. If you look at most teams outside the Top 4 you could probably pick 4 or 5 from each that would play for any other team and the reason for that is there really isn't a lot between any of the teams.
-
I think this is a good time to face Livingston. Often when a team wins a trophy their form drops off afterward. And of course if they lose their confidence will be down. But without wishing to be disrespectful we should be winning at home against Livingston anyway if we want to do anything at this level of football. Livingston are a decent enough team, 5 or 6 of their players would walk into our team, but it's just the reality for us that we need to win home matches against bottom and mid league teams. We have to make it happen and I think we will make it happen. And if we can go on to 35 points and then don't lose at Kilmarnock then I think we are more or less safe at that point. I mean, I think we are already probably safe but that would basically sign of another year in the Premiership.

If you got relegated off 2 defeats in a row we'd be playing in league sponsored by the local corner shop!

Superb result. Major step towards survival.

I'm being troubled by a feelings of lightness of head and giddiness. Should I phone NHS Direct?

9 league goals in two seasons and nearly 50 appearances. So in a way you are right that his attitude isn't really relevant. Not good enough. Tatty bye.
-
It's worth noting that Hibs overall home record ain't that great this season although they have won the last three. Hoping rather than expecting but we did get a point last time over there.
-
How I see it for what it's worth. If correct, and almost certainly won't be, we'd have virtually no chance of getting relegated. Exactly the same formations from both teams as the last match where we dominated the first half completely and came away with a point. Robinson often brought players back early for injury and got pelters for it as it generally didn't work out.
-
We gotta go in positive. We've got an opportunity here to go 7 points clear of the relegation places.
-
Let's be honest about this - Motherwell FC have had a very charmed life. We really should have been relegated before and I think under fan ownership it's only really a matter of time before we are relegated. A club of our size and budget just isn't going to survive in the Premiership indefinitely. Even if we escape relegation this season (I think we will) it's bound to happen sooner or later. I just can't see us surviving, say, another 10 seasons in a row in the Premiership. So while relegation is more bad than good, I think we need to think of it as a strong possibility in the immediate future of the club and something we need to be prepared for as supporters and as an organisation.
