  1. Hopefully the youth on the bench gets a chance and we see Thomas or Cadden replace Ainsworth when he runs out of steam.
  2. If Hutchison's revenue streams do come to fruition then hopefully the WS fund doesn't need to be touched. I think it's very important that there is a 7 figure working capital sitting there should the fan takeover materialise. Once the imminent deal is signed and sealed, I hope they focus in on regular funding and set realistic targets in January for how much the WS should raise each year. Possibly with split targets for personal and business level. For instance, if we are require a 1,000 fans to pay on average £20 per month then there's an achievable £240k per annum. Is this sufficient? Could the business community come close to matching this? And a nice wee incentive would be for the loan to turn into a donation should the WS meet all it's targets.
  3. Think much of this was down to a really good agent who we'll hopefully do business with again. Randolph one still baffles me but we need to get better at projecting our players and boosting their profile without begging for cash. Dundee Utd and Falkirk being two shining examples of what can be done.
  4. Really hope sensible player recruitment and profitable turnaround comes to fruition under Hutchison/Baraclough. It has to be at the essence of a tightly run ship. This was a major failing under the Dempster/McCall regime.
  5. He's been definitive in saying that he will bring in his own assistant manager.
  6. Very positive week. Can't understand why we are in the position we are, given quality. Full focus on getting 3 points tomorrow but with consideration for the longer term, he has spent time watching youngsters and looking at player contracts. Team already named for tomorrow. Moore and Hammell definitely out.
  7. Judging by his press conferences, I think the manager is keen on players that have yet to hit their peak and eager to improve.
  8. Only 2 press conferences in but it's hard not to take a shine to Baraclough. He seems a perfect fit for where we want to go. Hopefully the players can get him off to a good start over the festive period so that he has breathing space to embed his ethos. Glad to hear that we will be bringing in a new assistant too.
  9. I don't think we are capable of putting out a competent midfield, which is McCalls fault.
  10. Are we looking at the likes of Andrew Wilson departing the board?
  11. Yeah he's fitting the profile that the Derby fans suggested. Good raw defender but hopeless with the ball at his feet. Certainly my motm today.
  12. Impressed by his first interview and the Sligo video. His thinking appears to be in tune with the direction the club is taking, an area where McCall came up short. Potentially exciting times ahead if he gets the opportunity to stamp his ethos on the club. In the short term though, the current crop of players really need to up their game in order for Baraclough to have a chance of succeeding.
  13. Didn't hear the interview but just had a wee read: http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/30463715 I'm not sure if the 2 or 3 he is bringing in are to the club or society? Either way I'm happy to see fresh involvement. I remain sceptical about fan ownership being sustainable but we now have up to 5 years to prove it's viable. If we have some fresh faces supplementing and possibly leading the cause in conjunction with a structured vision to how we deliver fan ownership, then even sceptics like me will back it.
  14. Really poor stuff for the most part but in Ojamaa and Ainsworth, we have two players capable of dragging us out of trouble. Hopefully we can hold onto the former and get some game time for the latter. Baraclough seemingly has a reputation for playing football in the right way, hopefully he can transform a midfield that has became increasingly anonymous for the past 18 months. The new era starts in Paisley. Boy that scored the 2 County goals looked to have a bit of natural ability.
  15. Great stuff guys, real inspiration.
  16. £100 down but that's no fault of his. Good luck to the guy. It's an underwhelming appointment but that is not necessarily a bad thing and I do have faith in Weir's judgement. Imperative that he gets off to a good start given the scale of the game, onus is on players to step up and start delivering. Mention for Kenny Black. He's conducted himself well during the interim period.
  17. Better get used to it, there's a loan to repay in addition to offsetting the routine losses.
  18. Better get down to Fir Park early today. There will be queues galore as this exciting new era commences. Vigurs and a couple of others toiling. Hopefully we get to see Ainsworth and Erwin from the start. 2-2.
  19. Few congratulatory tweets from the well society. Would appreciate further clarity first on how Hutchison and Society dovetail ownership, if at all.
  20. So, should the deal go through. does Boyle hand his shares over to Hutchison/Society?
  21. He did indeed. And that's worked out well given our glaring fitness issues.
  22. No surprise that a club that struggled to arrange a friendly in the summer is toiling to appoint a manger. I appreciate the increased complexity of ownership change, something which shouldn't have been planned for mid-season, but we could have been more decisive with our plan when McCall jumped ship. Particularly with the writing on the wall after the Dundee game.
