  1. There's no chance we'll keep Randolph or Law. They both deserve to be playing at a higher level. Hopefully we get the chance of using their wages to unearth another couple of gems. Not sure if McCall was watching Partick Thistle again this weekend but Erskine scored a beautiful chip.
  2. We've been wide open since Panathanikos and we have done little to address it. McCall seems content in going with gung ho approach in the knowledge that we are incapable of replacing Jennings. To be fair to McCall, our attacking philosophy has won us more points than its cost us.
  3. Great 3 points but very lucky to be 3nil up. Great performances from Higdon and Hutch while Humphrey gave them the fear ad usual.,Looks like we are going to go through a whole season without addressing the absence of Jennings. Defence continues to be horribly exposed.
  4. Does Dempster think we are still in the Cup? Poor explanation.
  5. Unless you play for cash strapped Motherwell of course, where we apparently have to take a hit on a development fee in order to keep us ticking over for the next few months.
  6. United will be happy as it gives them an extra days preparation for the sevco game. Way too short notice though. There are a fair few regulars who need to plan well in advance to make a midweek game.
  7. Can't see us doing any pre-contract deals until McCall's future is resolved.
  8. Agreed Steelboy, we are useless at hyping up our players and have nobody from the media selling us. Even St Mirren have Chick Young talking up Kevin McLean to the extent that the bbc would have you believe he is worth 750k. While Murphy was outstanding in the playoffs, it's unbelievable that Goodwillie and Griffiths, both stuck on the bench, have netted more than 2.6 mil in fees. There was only one player on the pitch that night at Easter Road who was better than Murphy and he moved for 6 mil soon after.
  9. The only one that possibly had longer than 6 months on his contract would be Allan.
  10. Fyvie 500k, Johnsson 500k, McGowan 500k, Maguire 400k, Allan 400k. Murphy 110k.
  11. Sounds like Higginbotham and McHugh have got a decent partnership going in tonight's outing.
  12. McCall at Dumbarton today for the visit of Partick. Devlin and Paton starting, Erskine on the bench alongside Forbes.
  13. JJ may well look at bringing in one or two kids in from his previous club.
  14. Just on loan? He was apparently a huge disappointment during his spell at Carlisle but as I said previously, I'd welcome the signing based on his memorable motm performance v Celtic.
  15. I doubt Porter could command a higher wage that what we offered Stevenson so he may well fit into our structure. Priority though has to be replacing Jennings, unless Higdon is on his way...
  16. For those there, what formation were we playing exactly? Hateley in front of a back 3 of Kerr, Ramsden and Hammell?
  17. I'm gutted looking at those pictures. I hope the move is what he wants. I look forward to seeing him in the dark blue one day.
  18. Fighting talk from McCall post match, suggesting that Murphy should have had 2nd pen but you don't get 2 at Parkhead. Fine tribute from McCall to Murphy too. Sounds like our finest product for a decade signed off with an excellent performance. All the best Jamie...
  19. Sore one judging by the radio commentary. We'd have probably had managed a point if we hadn't been awarded a penalty. While ultimately bottling it at least we made a fight of it for a change. Strange that Higdon didn't feature at all.
  20. We're fucking pish at pens. Keep the heid Motherwell.
  21. Hopefully Dempster won't fuck it up this time.
  22. Good luck to him with the rest of his career. I was never convinced by him but I thought he was a good sort to have around the squad. Given our frailties I'd have been tempted to use him a fair bit this season.
  23. On the brink Hertz agree £500k deal for Ryan McGowan. Contract expires at the end of the season.
  24. Murphy wasn't the best candidate as we would be entitked to compensation. Best candidates were Law and Randolph. I appreciate that there isn't much we can do if offers don't come in but if the suggestion that Law is signing a pre-contract is Sheff United is true then we have been well and truly stitched up. Agreeing a deal on Dec 31st for a guy that has scored a hatful of goals in recent weeks, underlines how desperate we are. Poor management from the current regime yet again.
