  1. Nobody looked particulary great but I was impressed with Reynolds. Jennings needs some help in midfield, Hateley struggles to get to grips with the game.
  2. Delighted to be through. The game lacked quality but we plugged away and got a winner that we just about deserved. Hopefully have Lasley and Murphy back soon. Few bodies running on empty. A semi against Aberdeen at a packed Easter Road would be my preference. Am I right in thinking the semi's will be played Sat/Sun this time round?
  3. My fear for tonight is that we will run out of steam. Difficult game to predict. Hopefully we can get off to a blistering start but bang in a few goals this time. Lasley will be a big miss.
  4. Faddy is far more naturally gifted but he has been held back due to his lack of pace and awareness. If Murphy can build on his self belief, strength and stamina I just think he would be better placed to make a bigger impact on the Premiership than McFadden has. Look at Steven Fletcher during his 1st season in Premiership, is Murphy a million miles away from being as good as him? I don't think he is.
  5. Murphy has far more potential than Faddy imo. If he continues to improve and show continued belief in his ability while building his strength and staminia, he will be ready to join the likes of McCarthy, McFadden, Adam, Dorrans and Fletcher in a year or so.
  6. We haven't been too impressive at home so no point looking too far ahead. Inverness away looks like the most winnable of they games.
  7. We don't have the mentality to go and get a result at Ibrox. How many years have Hammell, Lasley, Reynolds and good old Captain Craigan being going there now and still never got a result. Far cry from the 90s when we didn't have an inferiority complex when it came to playing the Old Firm. Why even bother getting excited about the League Cup? Should we progress against Dundee United, then it just tees us up to get pumped off Rangers or Celtic.
  8. same old fucking shambles at Ibrox. Nae bottle.
  9. Been playing some really decent stuff and look dangerous when we get forward. Rangers will inevitably come out full pelt for the 2nd half. Lets hope we can continue to frustrate them by maintaining decent possession of the ball. C'mon Motherwell.
  10. Got a daft feeling about today. For years we have fancied our changes going there due to Rangers bring on the slide. This season however the look like an accomplished side but if anyone can pull of a result for us it's Craig Brown. If Craigan has recovered from his International duty then we may have a wee chance. If we have a solid base, then we have enough in attack to cause bother. 'Mon the 'Well!
  11. Rangers had well and truly took their foot off the pedal before we got two late goals. That won't happen when they are chasing points.
  12. Bardsley had a great fucking game.
  13. Time after time we have collapsed at Ibrox over the past 10 years. I don't see it happening under Brown, albeit a heavy legged Craigan could be a concern. Reckon Rangers will go away with a flattering 3-1 victory in a hard fought game.
  14. Yaas. How come my commentary is a wee bit behind? Gow made a difference. Well done Murphy.
  15. Get right in there. Sounds completely undeserved. Haud on.
  16. Tough game in prospect should we struggle to break them down early doors but this is the type of game we should be winning if we have aspirations of a top 4 finish. Hoping Murphy will run riot.
  17. Even if returning to Scotland was an option, plenty of Championship clubs would chasing him. He was an absolute stand out under Coyle. For the sake of Scotland, I really hope he can get his career back on track. A move to the likes of Norwich would do very nicely indeed.
  18. Watched that over and over again. Would have been a sublime goal.
  19. With Fatcalf on this one, our downfall at home has been our tendancy to sitback on a lead.
  20. Fucking delightful result. Fully expected us to win today given our style of play. The really pleasing thing though is the nature of our win. Usually we sit on a 1st half lead but it's really pleasing to go out and win the 2nd half. Canny whack a win against the Jambos. Lets see if we can get our home form sorted now.
  21. We were playing the long ball last season. The difference was that we had Jutkiewicz up top who was phenomenal at holding the ball up. His ability allowed us to bring the midfield into the game further up the park and we were capable of playing some pretty incisive stuff at times. Unless we change our style of playing I reckon that we will struggle to break teams down at FP this season. Should we persist with the long ball tactics though, we really need to make the most of set pieces. For that reason, it was encouraging to see Page convert 2 corners on Tuesday night. While it's not the best to watch I'm fairly content to go along with what we have if it puts us in the hunt for a decent cup run. The one thing with Brown & Know offer is that we are capable of matching up to anyone on our day.
