  1. I'd start Murphy up front probably at the expense of Humphrey with Sutton playing slightly deeper. The Hibs centre halves couldn't handle Murphy running at them last time round. Under doctors orders to stay away from the football for the time being, really gutted at not being able to head along tonight. I hope we can generate a decent atmosphere to propel a fine performance. 'Mon the 'Well.
  2. I'm intrigued to see what type of analysis Motherwell look into with regards ST trends. I may be wrong but I sense that we lose a lot of fans when they have to jump from juvenile/student tickets to full price tickets. Certainly in my experience I used to go with 7/8 pals on a weekly basis and sit up at the South Stand end of the East which was always jam packed. I'm now the only one amongst that particular group of school friends that would even contemplate going to FP now.
  3. Reaaly good player and a true professional who has treated Motherwell with great respected and has been commited to the cause from day one. Will be sorry to see him go but he deserves a move. Look forward to supporting him in a Scotland jersey.
  4. Agree with that, anything less than 6/7,000 tomorrow night should set a few alarm bells ringing.
  5. Flynn and Bryson are the only two that would entice me but I doubt we could get either. Interested to see if we go for this Thistle keeper.
  6. Hertz victory today could come back to haunt us.
  7. So if Hibs draw the 2 games and we lose at Ibrox Hibs will pip us on goal difference. Must win game for us on Wednesday as I don't see Hibs losing to Dundee United in any case.
  8. Saunders is fast becoming a favourite of mine.
  9. I was the same then found the original on my desktop.
  10. Fucking hell, think I've found the game at last 'Mon the 'Well.

    Rhys Weston

Spot on, as much as I citicised the way he went about his business at FP he certainly had an eye for a player. When you think about Ruddy, Juke, Hateley and Jennings I don't think we will ever sign such a quality batch of players again who match their footballing ability with a top notch attitude and respect for all things Motherwell. It's going to be a missed opportunity seeing at least two of these players leave next week.

    Rhys Weston

Rhys Weston isn't really the way we should be going. Bit of a journeyman who's career has been in constant decline. Yes we should bring in experienced players but it needs to be ones with proper heads on their shoulders that will help the young boys flourish. Professionals who fall into the same category as Weir, Alexander, Dailly etc. For that reason I'd be happier with Jack Ross than Rhys Weston.
  13. Pretty capable going forward, mind him having a great game against us the day Sutton scored a screamer at Ibrox. I'd happily take him with a view to him playing left midfield. I imagine just about every SPL club will be sniffing about him though.
  14. Agreed, while it will be of great benefit to existing fans with a couple of bairns there needs to be a seperate initiative in order to get other kids coming along. I don't see the season ticket deal capturing a significant amount of fresh blood.
  15. 1 year deal? Hmm, better than nothing I suppose.
  16. Thursday tends to be the media day so I imagined we would hear something today. I really hope though that the announcements have fuck all to do with a new kit supplier.
  17. Had a feeling that the 2 bits of exciting news would break today. Held off with the morning bait just incase it was related to Ruddy/Juke.
  18. I didn't realise he was back to full fitness, therefore I'm surprised he hasn't had a look in. Always had a soft spot for the guy and think he is good enough to make a valuable contribution throughout the course of a season. Disappointed that he hasn't been offered a new contract.
  19. This will be my 3rd season without a season ticket. Won't be renewing until the league is reconstructed. Reckon at least 10 SPL clubs will see a downturn in ST sales this summer.
  20. Nae bother. Delighted if Jennings sign, assume Coke & O'Brien are away and fear that we may be struggling to hold onto Hateley.
  21. Another valid point Finlay. Growing up in the 90s, we were often treated to a Motherwell team that had no fear about going toe to toe with the Old Firm. Such belief appears to have gradually deserted the club in the last 5-10 years.
  22. Must admit that surprises me, he looks nothing lik 6'3''.

    Celtic

Reynolds for me, must be given an opportunity with Scotland.
  24. Going into the game last night, I feared a backlash from Celtic but it never materialised and we should have capitalised on their fragile confidence. Thought we played some good stuff in spells and would have won if we had came close to matching the desire, determination and bottle that Ross County displayed on Saturday.
