I pretty much agree Weeyin, although I don't but into the top 6/ bottom 6 being a measure of achievement. What concerns me is that we won't take advantage of the next 3 or 4 months with regards to building for the future. Full focus should be on naming a permanent manager and getting contracts sorted out for existing players and identifying targets for next season. However, I'm no sure that will be the case.
-
Yet again, the season is finished all too early. No matter who the manager is, no matter who the players are, we are fucking pish when it comes to the cup. This is probably the first year I haven't been gutted at our exit, all too used to it now. Unless we get embroiled in a relegation battle, I doubt I'll be back at FP anytime soon. Indeed, with relatively nothing to play for there is a fair chance I won't be back at FP this season. Particularly, when we have a number of players running down their contracts and no idea who our manager will be next season.

Hibs couldn't match his demands apparently.

Surely the current deals are only until the end of Jan and not the end of Feb?

At the present time, all attention should be focused on the SPL teams getting together and working out how to improve the quality of the product. The Scottish game is quickly dying on its arse. Time for all teams to pull together and strive for improvements that will engage the fans that have stopped going to the games on a regular basis.

Surrounding area at Tynecastle was worse was it not? Near landed on my arse many a time.
-
Given that McGarry and Moutakil are off the wage bill, why do we need to get rid before we bring players in?
-
Thats Killie well and truly fucked now.
-
Injuries must have got the better of him because he was a superb striker for Sheff Wed a few years back.

Didn't get too excited about the draw today as more often than not, we tend to lose when we know who our next opponents would be. As it turns out, not the best of draws. If we do manage to get by Inverness though, I'd take Falkirk. A decent wee away day. Kilmarnock are just dreadfully boring at Rugby Park and would no doubt beat us 1-0 or 2-0. Hibs certainly getting the rub of the green so far.

Think he's jumping due to the chairman asking Kevin Kyle about his thoughts on team selection. Don't see him walking away without a payout mind you.

International Player Revealed?

I think your right Melvin with regards that tournament but not 100% sure. I have however seen him play for the U21s, Malpas may have been in charge at the time, and he struck me as an ineffective and lightweight right winger. May well have came on a lot since then but I'm sceptical. I very much doubt he is any better than Humphrey. Were we no linked with him before? -
I've sat in various areas of the East stand over the years, tending to sit towards the Cooper end in recent years. The best days though were when you used to get a right good atmosphere at the very end of the East Stand and it was absolutely jam packed on many an occassion. This wass in the era when Aberdeen were beating us 6-5, Ayr knocking us out the cup, Hearts game getting abandoned and beating Celtic 3-2, drawing 3-3 the following year. Really fond memories in terms of atmosphere. Between the ages of 11 and 13 I sat in the Cooper, only really enjoyed 1 half of footnall though as the view wasn't great when we were attacking the South Stand. At the St Johnstone game the other week, I returned to the Main Stand for the first time since a cup relay against Ayr in 1992. Fuck it was dismal, worst 'atmosphere' I have ever experienced at a football game. If I had a season ticket in there I'd have lost complete interest in fitba by now.

I'd like to think the club are well clued up on this. Slane is an exception to a host of talented kids that have commited their future to Motherwell over the years. As Al B indicates, it would appear Motherwell have been powerless on this occassion.
-
Without knowing the facts, my instincts tell me that McGhee is the one that has fucked us over. Slane should have been offered a professional contract during McGhee's 2nd year. As we all know, McGhee had his eyes on another job and was more than likely, trying to pull a fly one. Since then, Slane has had his head turned and it would appear that he has his heart set on running down his YTS so that he could move to Celtic this summer. For once, the only blame you can direct towards Motherwell is that too much faith was placed in McGhee.

If he is denying that its a striker, then I have no doubt it will be McGlinchy then, as first thought. -
Nah, just his burd.
-
So under the conditions of McCart's move to Celtic, he has to wait for Paul Slane running down his YTS contract before making an official approach?
-
Will we be entitled to some sort of development fee when Celtic sell him onto a diddy English team?
-
Was never going to stay with us beyond this season. Proper wee uneducated tattie muncher. Don't blame McCart at all, clearly rates the boy and is solely fulfilling his role at Celtic.

Ict Away: Re-scheduled For Mon 18th Jan (3rd Time)

Few years since I've been up in Inverness but on that occassion it was a bus from Perth onwards and there was plenty of bevvy on that. Only issue was the bog being out of order and the Polish driver no understanding 'I need a pish.' -
Mind we were after him in the twilight of his playing career? That was depressing enough. Credit where it's due, he has done a very good job at St Mirren. I just canny stand watching his team.
-
Agreed. He has the potential to be a competent SPL centre half but he could so easily go the same way as Willie K. Not good enough to be playing week in week out for us yet.
-
Moore would only be a short term deal. If fit though, he could offer invaluable experience to Reynolds/Hutchison/Saunders. Whats the script behind the injuries Hutchison has suffered? I'd love him to be playing week in, week out. Meanwhile, I'm intrigued to see what right back we go after.
