  1. There is no agenda behind it but on this occassion, I do believe that this particular Rangers fan running the line has allowed his instincts get the better of his professional judgement.
  2. No much chat about the game tomorrow. Could really go either way. Will we face a hangover from Wednesday or will the sense of injustice drive us on to continue our good run? Impossible to drop anybody from the Rangers game based on performance but I wonder if we may need to freshen things up a wee bit due to tired legs. Wouldn't mind Murphy getting a good run-out, tends to do the business against the Accies. Could really do with 3 points tomorrow as it will be an extremely difficult game against Hibs next week.
  3. I try to refrain using the word 'cheat' but on this occassion, it is merited. That decision on Wednesday night was well beyond incompetence.
  4. Nail hit on the head. Look no further than the reaction to the Thierry Henry incident.
  5. Blatant cheating swept under the fucking carpet. I hope Motherwell are pursuing the matter with the SFA.
  6. Watching Football Years the other week and it was mentioned that the players were offered a £5k bonus each to beat Rangers at Ibrox. Sheer greed by the vast majority of the SPL (excpetion of Celtic & St Johnstone) drove the game to the brink. In hindsight, Boyle was cute enough to call in the administrators early doors. At the time, the prospect of there being no Motherwell was earth shattering. As MB correctly points out though, the sense of unity that emerged in the aftermath will live with us forever. Fond memories of that era.
  7. I know Radio phone-ins isn't everyone's cup of tea but I hope there are a fair few 'Well fans on the night to lambast such blatant cheating. Still fucking pig sick.
  8. Would agree with that. While there is an outside chance of reaching the top 4 we are only a defeat or two away from being in a real battle to finish in the top 6. One game at a time. Saturday is massive. Hopefully the sense of injustice from a terrific performance against Rangers can galvanise the squad further and keep the good run going.
  9. I tend to agree with your opinions Frazzle but for soemtime, i think you have been well wide of teh mark with your views of Reynolds. Fair do's though, you are entitled to your opinion which i respect and there is probably sufficient evidence to back up your criticism. I think he is a fine defender though, blessed with pace and a great reading of the game. His aerial ability has improved and he is half decent at bringing the ball out of defence. For me, he isn't far off the Scotland squad. Last night though, he had a howling lapse in concentration. No one will be sicker than him today and I'm sure he strive to make up for his mistake in the coming weeks.

    Rangers

Lasley has bossed the Rangers midfield on more than a few occassion now. Terrific performance from him and Jennings in the middle, O'Brien ran riot, Sutton full of endeavour but my choice is Craigan. Outstanding performance.
  11. You are a fucking idiot. Why would he not want to ram it home? Forbes came on to a good game last night, done well for the team and could have had another couple of chances if O'Brien had lifted his head.
  12. Did we know play 3 centre halfs at Ibrox? Keep it simple, 442 and get in about them. Hopefully the game is tight and Murphy can come on with half an hour to go and make an impact.
  13. Fine game against Celtic, good enough for me.
  14. I never seen Rangers on Saturday but is Broadfoot now playing right back? I'll be delighted if the Whittaker Davis partnership is broken up. Unless Whittaker is now playing right mid and Davis is in the middle? Had a c**t of a dream last night, we lost 1-0 courtesy of Nacho Novo. We were playing up in Perth though .
  15. I'm heartened by the lack of expectation this time round. In recent years, we have been guilty of really fancying our chances against Rangers but never registered a win. Given the run Rangers are on in conjunction with the lead they have over Celtic, I get the feeling a wee slip up is not too far away. Fingers crossed it happens on Wednesday. 1-0 Jennings.
  16. Work no far from there, shall have to give it a try.
  17. I'm disappointed that Fitzpatrick picked up an injury. I think he would have been a stick-on to start against Rangers to try and combat the threat of Davis and Whittaker. Generally speaking, i rate Fitzpatrick quite highly, when played in the right postion he does a lot of terrific work for the team and runs himself into the ground. He knows how close down space and break up play in a similar manner to the role Flecther used to play for United. And while he will never be an attacking midfielder he does have a habit of timing a late run into the box. With a bit of composure in front of goal, he could net a few per season.
  18. Forbes looked like a class act in the early part of the season. His eye for a pass and a strike at goal are rare assets in Scottish football these days. While I'm disappointed at how his season has faded, I think we just need to be patient with him and we will see him regain his confidence. With regards fitness, I'd like to think that will come with time as he physically develops. I remember when Gerrard was starting out at Liverpool, everyone could see he was a class act but there were major doubts over his stamina. Furthermore, it seems likely that he suffers from asthma. His body will adjust in time to deal with the demands of playing week in week out. I have every confidence that Craig Brown will get the best out of him next season and I wouldn't be surprised if we end up building our team around him.
  19. Put O'Brien wide left, tuck Jennings n on the right and have Lasley/Code in the middle.
  20. No big fan of Woods but Meldrum was a worse keeper for me.
  21. Scott Leitch was vastly overrated imo.
  22. Skippy still had a year left on his contract didn't he so we were in a strong bargaining postion. We should have held out for an offer in excess of a million come the summer.
  23. Aye, along with the Skippy confirmation.
  24. With Miller's move to Boro confirmed, i'm getting a wee bit nervous.
