  1. Did we find out last night what % of transfer fees goes to our creditors?
  2. Armstrong is right, big Kolo was embarassing for the first 2 goals. Haven't heard Rodgers interview but the biggest compliment he could pay Motherwell was changing his team after half an hour. I expect Cadden to be very much on Celtc's radar from now on.
  3. Thinks it's beyond doubt that Hammell and Lasley are no longer capable of being integral players at this level. Combine their ageing legs with the lack of quality from Clay, Samson and Tait (to a lesser extent) and we are always going to lose a shedload of goals. McGhee is doing a very decent job but he got a lot wrong in the summer.
  4. Moult. That first goal is one of the best finishes you'll see from a Motherwell striker. He'll surely be gone in January.
  5. Today is the first time I've seen us since September, albeit from the couch. Credit to Motherwell for running them so close. The quality of Skippy, Moult and Cadden gave us a great chance of an upset while the rest battled like fuck. Ultimately though, we are carrying too many inadequate players to see out a game. Rogic is some boy, best player to watch in Scottish football just now.
  6. Priority has to be getting rid of the deadwood. The squad is too bloated for our budget. If we can then make room for Pearson and a Marvin replacement we should be ok for the remainder of the season, particularly if McHugh makes a return.
  7. Hard to imagine Forrest, Rogic and Roberts not destroying us today.

Disappointing we didn't have a more suitable replacement lined up after trying to punt Marvin for months.
  9. Good to hear Faddy in positive mood. Interesting that he has been fit but the management gig is his priority, surely he's worth a place on the bench. As an aside, I'm no sure anyone could have grievance with McGhee if he said Celtic were likely to win the treble. They are the best Scottish team we have seen in a long time.
  10. 1-0 or 5-0 Celtic depending what mood they are in. Will be interesting to see how McGhee shapes us up.
  11. It's clear who the top 4 are going to be but on recent form, Hearts aren't on a different level. They've won 3 of their last 9 games against the bottom 8, 2 against us.
  12. Not been at the last few games but good to hear that Skippy, Moult and Cadden played well. The 3 of them on form is a menace for anyone in the league. Watching the highlights, Skippy's technique for the goal wasn't too dissimilar to Mata earlier in the day.
  13. Filled it out. Imagine it will be used as an initial point of engagement as opppsed to drawing any robust conclusions. Would be happy to take a phonecall on the back of it.
  14. With Tynecastle and Celtic up next and two Aberdeen games imminent, we do need a result here. If Moult, Skippy and Ainsworth are on form though we should be fine. Hopefully McGhee isn't on too much of a downer; I presume he'll get punted by the SFA this week.
  15. We've been very unlucky with McHugh (albeit the horrific injury was due to his own recklessness). However there was always going to be a huge question mark over Lucas given that he had 4 senior starts under his belt by the age of 24. The idea of muddling through with a brutal midfield until the possible return of Pearson, combined with the failure to replace Marvin after actively trying to punt him for a year, has been such a turn-off for me this season.
  16. There has been some utterly reckless spending since Les arrived which led us to having in excess of 30 first team players at one point. Misinvestment that will now be repaid via player sales; potential income that should have been going towards building a sustainable future of the club rather than clearing debts stemming from mismanagement of the previous regime. I don't know what the alternatives are but I struggle to fathom how fan ownership can be successful when we are starting from -£1mil (initial plan was +£1.5mil buffer) and our support is threatening to go below 3k.
  17. As with most internal promotions at a football club, it would be a huge risk but Craigan just seems like an obvious successor to me. Yes it's a big step up but he has the u20s well drilled and will be familiar with the majority of players that we plan to have in the first team 1-2 years from now. Regarding press conferences, yes he can blether but he generally provides very good insight.
  18. Does McGhee's contract not expire at the end of the season? If so I'd expect him to see it out while retaining our premiership status before Craigan steps up.
  19. We appear destined for a grim season, certainly not capable of putting a string of wins together due to the unbalanced nature of the squad in terms of quality and cover.
  20. 10.30 ko at Airdrie on Sunday for the cup game.
  21. Without looking at figures too closely, I feel like we've lost 5-10% of our core support since the club started moaning about the cost of European football and then charged over the odds for the Starjnan debacle. In addition, the odd big game is less likely to attract the fairweather fans these days given the declining standard and profile of Scottish football. I'd be interested to know how this years ST numbers (excluding the kids freebies) compare to the last 4/5 years. A number of regular faces from my area of the Cooper stand have disappeared. Whether that's down to the increase in ST price or not I don't know but as discussed in the summer, the package was becoming less appealing, particularly if you are nailed on to miss a few games.
  22. Pleased to hear Lucas made such a positive impression today. Not been at the last couple of games but encouraged by our ability to bounce back in such emphatic fashion today. Probably no coincidence though that Skippy and Ainsworth were back in the starting lineup.
