  1. Strangely came away from Ibrox not as gutted as you would expect. I wasn't particularly keen on McGhee's tactics but I can understand he setup that way, unfortunately though we didn't have the players to execute the plan with Chalmers, Clay and Tait not up to the required standard. Having said that I felt relatively confident after Moult's textbook header, particularly with McDonald on the pitch. Just need to move on now, hopefully the blue pounds earned today can sort out our left hand side and keep us out a relegation battle.
  2. Looks like the crowd is going to be around the 25k mark, which is not surprising but still disappointing. Some Rangers fans seem to think O'Halloran may start. Would be typical for him to do the business after today's speculation.
  3. No idea how tomorrow will go but it's probably the 1st time I've looked forward to a trip to Ibrox. Hope Cadden, Moult and McDonald get the opportunity to put in really big performances.
  4. O'Halloran is a very good player and would fit well into McGhee's preferred 433. However, I have no interest in taking him on loan from them.
  5. Votes in and verified. Good luck with it Jay.
  6. Thistle seem pretty relaxed about it. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/partick_thistle/15027292.Ian_Maxwell_says___39_Project_Brave__39__holds_no_fears_for_Partick_Thistle/ I wonder if we had wind of this prior to finalising the move to fan ownership.

Any idea of the land value? I thought House Builders would have made enquiries after the success of the Cala/Bellway developments at the College. With Brexit in full swing mind you, builders aren't going to be paying over the odds for land anytime soon.
  8. Very good listen and Motherwell appear to be in the best position we've been for some time. So disillusioned with the SFA, I haven't paid too much attention with to the remit and implications of Project Brave. Without knowing the detail of academy football, I'm baffled as to why we are focusing on 11-17 year olds (when the young national teams have performed ok) as opposed to managing the transition of our top Scottish players from 18-22.
  9. Man of many clubs Henri Anier signs for Inverness.
  10. The Soccer AM drill suggests Frear has a decent left foot, that's enough for me at the moment. Interesting that Frear is a bit older than the players we have paid for in recent years. We must think there is potential for a quick turnaround.
  11. Looks like we have identified a replacement for Marvin in the Conference. http://www.stroudnewsandjournal.co.uk/sport/15024931.Scottish_Premiership_outfit_Motherwell_close_in_on_Forest_Green_winger_Elliott_Frear/
  12. Dom made the poll for Sky Sports Goal of the day. Decent way to notch your 1st senior goal. Plenty more to come.
  13. Last minute equaliser from Jack Leitch at home to East Fife. Forbes also scored today.
  14. Heard Ian McCall on the radio suggesting his right back, Nicky Devlin, is one of the most sought after players in Scotland. Having arrived at Motherwell highly rated before injury, it would be nice to see him working his way back up the leagues.
  15. Hopefully so. If we were playing anyone else in the central belt (other than Celtic I guess) I suspect we would have sold the majority of a 2k allocation by now. Rangers are an entirely different proposition though, particularly post liquidation.
  16. Think we have an allocation of 2,000. Usually you have a fair gauge on what our away support will be but I've no idea how much interest there is for this.
  17. Unsurprisingly, Robinson didn't last long at Oldham. Wonder if there will be implications for Ripley and Erwin...
  18. I only remember Bobby Donnelly for that Rangers game, which I had to watch through my fingers.
  19. That reflects my recollection. He definitely made his debut at left mid and we played him left back against Raith Rovers. Gannon played him in a few position mind you including holding midfielder. I always thought he had the attributes to end up a left back but it never materialised.
  20. Wouldn't be surprised to see Reynolds back but as capt_oats says, he's back in favour with McInnes for now. As an aside, Cardiff seem keen on Hayes. That's the type of team I'd expect to look at Moult.
  21. Humphrey put in the type of performance you expect from him. Will be a very decent signing for Hibs. Fine day for Derek Adams at Anfield.
  22. Hanley was a very good servant for Blackburn. Club captain, 180+ games and 20+ Scotland caps. Seems a reasonable price to me when you think Christian Dailly moved for the same money in 1998. Having said that, hope he gets out of Newcastle soon and returns to regular football.
  23. I see the Skippy to Australia rumours have surfaced again. http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/football/a-league/former-socceroos-star-scott-mcdonald-set-for-aleague-homecoming/news-story/2fdad72ddd5a39c245ec99ad1b99a21e I fully expect him to be away by the summer and would rather he was back in Australia than playing against us. Hopefully, he is content enough to see out his contract.
  24. Are Talksport a reliable source for the Moult rumour? They suggest we paid £125k for him which is nonsense. As much as I adore Moult, I think he'd be doing well to get a move to a mid-table Championship team at present. And if there is interest, his form probably hasn't been consistent enough this season to merit a transfer offer that would match our value. If Moult and/or the club are keen on cashing in, the double header with Rangers provides the perfect shop window...
