  1. How did St Mirren do it then and wipe out their debt with the surplus? I would have thought the land they owned was smaller that Motherwell's. Your also using the average price per acre, that takes into account all the agricultural land and even hill land which would account for the majority of the acreage sold but would be lucky to fetch anywhere near £10k an acre. There is land for sale in Wishaw at the moment which relates to £750,000 per acre and 8 acres for sale in Uddingston for £6m. The land at Fir Park would probably be worth more than both these.
  2. Reported >>this one yet.
  3. When they did the draw last year did they not alternate the seeded teams home/away.
  4. The problem is there have been 12 new strips in 6 years. There is plenty the club can do, make Bukta produce non-substandard strips, make Canterbury fulfil their part of the contract, or sue them, but why do that when there is people exactly like you who'll act just like sheep and go out and buy the new one. Bukta, Xara and Canterbury were also all regarded as pretty steady supplier, so if this goes tits up (again) we just shrug and say great Nike are a pretty steady supplier that make great strips. I take it none of you have kids that you have to buy for
  5. Wow, another new strip for a new season for the sixth season in a row. That's exactly the news that would excite me. Yet again the Charter rewritten to suit; I know it says for commercial reason that MAY not be possible but that should only happen very occasionally not every year since the charter was written.
  6. I've to more often for people going to the toilets after having a few pints before the game.
  7. The kids tend to be better behaved, more supportive and more knowledgeable than the adults
  8. Was the other bit not Jennings signing for another year?

    Season Tickets

No we're not, they stole it from us. MFC used to do it until about 4 years ago.
  10. I would agree with you, announcing a new strip for the 5(?)th season in a row is hardly good news.
  11. The point was they did increase their fanbase by moving to Livingston, so by tapping into the additional housing proposed for Ravenscraig there is potential for us to do the same.
  12. Read that bit again. Livi are back where they started, so if we stay where we are with an additional 1600 fans, then yes I'd be happy with that.
  13. 1600 at their last home game in 3rd division, sounds pretty good from starting from a fan base of 2 men and a dug as Meadowbank. So they've added 1600 to their fanbase my moving to the new town. So Livi is successful in proving you could attract additional bodies.
  14. Although, while I agree with a lot of what you have said of the teams mentioned. St Mirren - too early to tell if they regret their move or otherwise Airdrie, Clyde and Hamilton - models of how not to do it, though Hamilton are probably ahead of where the were at Douglas Park St Johnstone - another one who are probably ahead of where there were Livingston - why they are always mentioned in disastrous moves is always a mystery, it was as much trying to do too much too soon, with ideas above their station, which caused their problem. They went from a team pretty much yoyoing from the bottom two divisions to one playing in the top two. You could also add Inverness CT and Stirling to your list of new stadium builders. So really you could argue that Airdrie has been the only major disaster but that was down more to not have a new site (with planning permission) than the actual move.
  15. Has that actually happened since the charter was written?
  16. Never heard of a 5 year defect liability period, 1 year is the norm, with only 6 months on smaller projects. Most defects due to workmanship will appear within the first year after that it is more likely design issues, which the contractor would not be liable for unless it's also designed by them.
  17. Slight exaggeration but the Official site has Fraser at 6'3", Ruddy 6'4" and Reynolds at 6'1".
  18. They play Hearts at home on Sunday and I can't see Hearts getting anything in that game.
  19. Tom Hateley for me, so not as clear cut as you make out.
  20. Why don't you just say Bill Dickie, since that's the only one it can be from your description.
  21. You've said none of what I've said is accurate, which of the three statements I made are inaccurate. Rangers and Celtic are guaranteed 19 home and 19 away games a season. They are guaranteed 2 home and 2 away against each other. I said the other teams in the top 6 are guaranteed 4 home game over the season against the OF (that may work out as 3 home against Rangers or 3 against Celtic) As for due 4 home games we've already played 15 with one to go before the split so are only due 3 to make it up to 19. Not once have did I say it was fair and unbiased.
  22. I don't think that can happen. Rangers and Celtic are guaranteed 19 home and 19 away games and also playing each other twice home and away over the season. The other top six team are guaranteed 4 home games against the OF. The only way that can happen is for them both to play away from home twice each (excluding OF game) which is one away game against the other four teams.
  23. I'm sure I read something recently that they won't put down the 3G at schools as it doesn't suit hockey.
  24. How many did Cooper have, I seem to remember as few.
  25. We were only third for a day, Rangers won on the Sunday pushing us back to fourth.
