  1. You could have saved yourself a lot of typing and just said - "The media should decide which cases should be reviewed" It wasn't clear cut at the first, second or third viewing but Andy Wanker made a big deal out of it and mentioned it every 5 minutes. A couple of Rangers fans the other day were trying to bait me by saying what a thug Randolph was and how there was no way he could be defended, I just said you're right but goalkeepers get away with far too much anyway; to which one of them said it was exactly the same as the challenges Alan McGregor made every game without any punishment.
  2. Not quite, it's a registration ban which finishes the day after the summer transfer window closes. Sevco would then be able to register free agents from that date onwards.
  3. Only subs they made that night were Kevin McBride for Riordan at 6-3 and Benjelloun for Stokes at 6-5.
  4. Donations are not liable for VAT anyway, so the whole debate you started was pointless. There may be other tax liabilities involved but not VAT.
  5. Then everyone cashes in their vouchers and pays £5 to get in, so gets paid £15 to watch the game.
  6. I must be in the minority of one. I hate the large concourse at the front accessing the seats at Livi's ground. I much prefer an access similar to the Cooper or South stand. Why didn't you use Fir Park as the example?
  7. What was the score with Stelrad, I seem to remember them as a sponsor at one point, probably before Scottish Brewers.
  8. I'm sure it's only if they are free agents when the transfer window closes. Bob Malcolm was another who was signed outwith the window.
  9. It was Odense I ended up with two seats right in the middle of the lower section. Ideal to see Murphy's penalty.
  10. Airdrie Utd, Cowdenbeath, Stenhousemuir
  11. If you listen to Doncater that's the number of professional teams that will be left in two years anyway.
  12. The rules haven't actually been changed yet but were proposed to ensure the transfer of share to the newco, which would have have only advantaged newco. But you know that; the rule changes were all about helping Sevco gaining immediate membership of the SPL; BUT the oldRangers fans and the media made out it was just to punish them so it had to be shelved. If they had shut up and allowed the changes through this argument would not be happening Sevco would be playing in the SPL next season with a points and financial deduction,
  13. Don't blame you but as I make out, Green has already agreed a price of £5.3M for the assets including Ibrox, Murray Park and the car park. He seems to think that he will also get the players but that looks doubtful. Like you I would have thought the the liquidators would jump in and halt this, especially as Dumb and Dumber knocked back a bid of £3M for Naismith alone. Don't know how it works but I would have thought that the oldco could still retain the players contracts and could sell them on right up until the company is wound up.
  14. It can happen any time. The Newco will buy the assets then apply for the licence to be transferred prior to the oldco being fully liquidated.
  15. You are right Ballantyne had formed Airdrie Utd and tried to get them accepted into the SFL, only to loose out to Gretna. Buying out Clydebank was effectively Plan B. The paragraph from Wiki immediately prior to the one quoted
  16. You're not correct, Jim Ballantyne formed a new club called Airdrie Utd (after failing to purchase the name Airdrieonians from the liquidator). Airdrie Utd then applied to join the SFL but failed (Gretna getting the space). Airdrie Utd then purchased Clydebank and then relocated to Airdrie with the name change to Airdrie Utd.
  17. The thing is the circumstances mentioned the first two WOULD happen if the Newco was not allowed into the SPL, they don't need to be conditions. It would then follow that the other ones could follow on if the other clubs wanted them. So to answer your question - No
  18. Brilliant 3% would boycott the Newco fixtures but would continue going to their games.
  19. Jennings got a two match ban for something the ref did see and deemed to only be a yellow card.
  20. Wouldn't put it past Lunny to award them a goal after reviewing the Sportscene highlights
  21. Definitely home to Dundee but I've checked a couple of sites and they have the score as 0-0 but like you I'm certain we went into the game 2 points behind them with a very remote chance of winning the league.
  22. Yes, we were cruising in that game too, I think we were 3-1 up at half time, for a good while it looked like we were going to pull back a fair bit of the goal difference, then Stevie Crawford and Colin Cameron happened.
  23. It was only four points, went into last game two point behind but around 15 worse of in goal difference. We needed to beat St J by a barrel load and hope Rangers lost to Dundee at home be a bis scoreline. St Johnstone weren't actually relegated at the time they needed a win to give them a chance, they were celebrating at the end thinking they had done enough.
  24. but they would have one they could get signed personally. It doesn't affect me any more, at the time I thought it was a shame he didn't get to meet the players. It's probably one of these things that is down to personal preference.
  25. Was this not because the rules required that the shorts (and socks) also had to be diferent colours to aviod a colour clash?
