Very true, every manager has a sell by date, that does not make them a poor manager. Steve Clarke who seems to be loved on here was sacked by both Reading and West Brom, clearly not fit to manage. I can pretty much guarantee whoever replaces Robinson will get the same treatment shortly after the honeymoon period is over.

Steve Clarke's sacking by WBA was laughable and they've been in freefall every since.

Got them their highest ever EPL finish.

Aside from bodying this absolute gang of a Rangers team, Celtic have been bang average for months.

    They have been poor.

They have scored one goal against us and managed a 2 pts off us in3  games (two of which were at CP) since Clarke became boss.

I honestly think Motherwell have a right good chance on Saturday.

Get in their faces, they don't like it.

Good luck, i'll be meeting a few 'Well supporting mates beforehand for a beer or two.

Ecosse squirrelhumper is a Killie fan so just saying Old Firm are beatable in finals

    Correct haha.

When we beat Ayr in the Semi, many fans treated it as the final as we had Celtic in the Final and they were going for the treble and on a crazy unbeaten run.

All I'm saying is you never know.  They are far from unbeatable.

    Good luck.

Does seem quite low key but I see Flow has tweeted to thank fans who have bought tickets with “well over” double our average core home support. Suggests to me we have sold 7000+ much like the Rangers league cup semi. That does not suggest apathy but a very decent effort.

Apart from the one we won (in my lifetime) all other finals have been v old firm and will be same this time around. You think back to Hearts v Gretna or St Johnstone v Dundee Utd or Aberdeen v Inverness. They may have beaten old firm en route but most of our rivals who have won cups recently were NOT playing the Old firm in finals. Just the way it seems to be......

I've seen us win Scottish against Falkirk and League Cup against Celtic.

We had 26k at the final against Falkirk and 13k against Celtic.

The atmosphere at the Celtic game from our end was much, much better. Less day trippers and more hardcore.

Trust me, beating one of the arse cheeks in the final is well worth the times you go to finals and lose 3-0 to them. Especially when you beat Ayr in the Semis. We took 5k more to the semi final than we did to the final!

Pretty much my view too.  I don't really think we'll make the top 6 but yes, I can can see Killie's run coming to an end shortly.  They've done very well to be fair but they were lucky against us and also against Hibs.  I've just seen the penalty and it was a ludicrous decision.  To go on a run like Killie's you have to be a decent team but that in itself is not enough you have to have good luck and of late they've had that in spadefuls.  That can't last.

We absolutely battered Hibs on Saturday of the last 60 minutes.

Think we had 21 shots on goal. Not many teams will have 58% possession against that Hibs midfield either.

Penalty was soft but we should have scored 4 or 5 in the second half. Keeper had a blinder.

  6. For anybody too say Clarke is a better manager based on today is just nonsense,we were in total control of the game and had we had a rub of the green we would have won quite comfortably,it was just one of those games that come along every so often that no matter what we did we weren't destined too get anything from.as for Clarke if that's the best killie can muster, thank fuck he wasnt anywhere near the Scotland job.

    Haha total control? Deary me.

  7. I dont think you can judge Steve Clarke based on a bit of a season but he is definitely getting results from a generally poor group of players.

Jordan Jones is Don Thomas - the odd trick but no end product. His main role yesterday was to receive out balls humped up the park which was ultimately effective in breaking up Motherwell pressure - credit to Clarkes tactics.

If Killie had had Eliot Frear in their side Boyd would have had a hat trick.

    Poor players

  8. Not normally one for negative posts, but now the dust has settled , i am extremely pissed off at yesterday's performance and the lack of tactical awareness by our management team.

I like Robinson but to suggest he's a

better coach than Clarke is laughable.

Their is not a single Killie player i would take in our team, yet Clarke has them winning games and climbing the table.

    1 Its there

    2. Lay off the drugs. Mulumbu for starters would walk intu your team.

  9.

It's decent overall form but you've not won many of those games and as a home side we shouldn't be looking at losing to a team that doesn't win many away matches.

We've won 3 of them and drawn 6.

As an away side we shouldn't be looking to lose a game when we don't lose many away matches!

Plus we should be looking to avoid defeat against a team that has only won 4 out the last 10 at home......in last 10 away games we've equalled you points tally in the last 19 home games.

    I've probably jinxed us now!

  10. Yes, it'll be a difficult game and common sense says that a draw will be a very good result indeed for us against what is Killie's finest team in decades. However if we don't win we can pretty much say goodbye to 6th place. Whilst 6th spot would be nice, 7th place would represent considerable progress over last season for me. So I guess there's mixed messages there.

Decades? This team isn't a patch on the team of the late 90s that had Durrant, Holt, Dindeleux, Mitchell, Wright, Cocard, McGowne etc in it.

  11. Kilmarnock are better than us but their revival has been largely based around getting Power and Dicker back from injury and bringing in Mulumbu to have one of the most dominant midfields in the division.

Two of those guys will be out today and Mulumbu maybe has some question marks over his fitness.

It should also be pointed out that although Kilmarnock have only lost 1 match in the last 9 their away form hasn't been anywhere near as good as their home form.

To be fair, Power hasn't played for weeks and we were 2-1 down on Tuesday with 10 men and none of them on the park!

In our last 10 away games we've lost once, including trips to Parkhead, Ibrox, Easter Road, Murrayfield, Pittodrie x2 (where we lost)

    I'd say that's decent form!

  12. Good to see both Ayrshire teams doing well this season! Not being burdened with petty local rivalries its nice to see both my local teams on the up. Still be nice to win on Saturday though and enjoy the bragging rights that would come with it!

Ha, I'd love Ayr in the top flights but they have been beyond shite for my full life!

Nearly got promoted late 90s but apart from that they've not got close.

They win a cup tie against us and it's like they've won the world cup!

  13. 1-0 Celtic

    4-0 Brora

3-2 tonight with an 87th minute winner vs 10 men.

Feelgood factor well and truly at Rugby Park - could see a good away crowd on Saturday.

7 home games won in a row. First time we've done that since 1979/1980!

17 goals for and 3 against.

I'd expect a decent away support on Saturday, seems to be a decent level of interest from the lot I go with anyway.

    Looking forward to it.
