  1. I think thats 6 home wins on the bounce in the league now for Killie, 7 if you include the cup. Some change that Clarke has brought about - fair play.

Mulumbu out injured tonight and Dicker sent off though so they may be slightly weakened for Saturday.

From what I've heard Mulumbu was just rested last night as a precaution after he took a knock on Saturday and should be fine for the weekend. Kiltie likewise.

  2. Basically as we stand at the moment from Killie in 6th to ICT in 12th IMO all the teams are just as good or bad as each other .They all seem to have a great result plus a shocker and a few draws thrown in so as we stand there is nothing between the 7 of them as only 3 points between all 7 but if a team goes on a bad run or a good run they will either be left behind or pull away .Saturday is a big day as 6 of they 7 are playing each other so come Saturday night let's just hope we have won and are looking down in a good few of them as it will all depends who turns up on the day .

    Agreed.

  3. aye - but they have shrunk the pitch or the lines around it to be more accurate

Basically admitting that they are poor and giving teams more space to play will be detrimental to their chances of picking up points. Does not say much for confidence. That said it may actually work and turn the game into a stuffy battle. Hard to argue with the logic sadly..

It's still well within the regulated sized.

  4. i think well win this i just have feeling that kilmarnock are ready to fall apart and we're on the up so I'm gong 3 - 1 motherwell win Always optimistically following my heart

We may well lose but our performance at Dens is the best I've seen us play in about 2 years.

    2-1 flattered Dundee.

Interesting how you are on the up after managing a draw against struggling Aberdeen side yet we're ready to fall apart after drawing at Tynecastle, beating Caley and winning at Dens (where you recently lost)!

  5. Henry would have total respect from the players and I would hazard a guess they'd play out their skin for him with the contacts he'd have to help move them on and make a fair bit. He'd also prove himself inside a season that he can manage outside the under 21 setup.

    Hahaha

  6.

That's good to know. When I made that comment I wasn't sure whether he or anyone else could it - but if he is that committed to a cause, he miight just be a decent appointment.

Thanks for the insight Squirrel (you wouldn't happen to be a fanzine editor by any chance?).

    Nah I'm not!

  7. If Shiels did one thing at Killie (apart from the cup win) it was galvanise the support.

Michael Johnston being a bellend helped in that respect but the amount of community work he did was unbelievable.

He was literally chapping doors of lapsed season ticket holders, getting players to visit them, hand delivered season tickets, turned up at youth games every night of the week. No fans function was too much hassle.

I've not seen a manager so universally liked at Killie since Burns.

His one downside is that he just can't shut up!

  8.

...whilst also bumming up Rangers as a better team right now than the entire top flight bar Celtic.

I don't want to go back to the days of a Motherwell manager fawning over the Old Firm to the point that we'd be as well not turning up.

Shiels beat Rangers home and away, Celtic in a cup final, Celtic at Parkhead and we drew 3-3 with Celtic at RP.

To put that into context we'd not won at Parkhead in 57 years (had been champions of Scotland and runners up 4 times in that time) and hadn't beaten Rangers at home in 18 years.
