  1. Since its in & outs, I notice that from the line-ups this evening, Henrik hasn't even made the bench for Legia tonight in Wales. Has he made the wrong choice, from hero to squad player??
  2. Remember that yesterday was a Bank Holiday & if Faddy let's lawyers & agents deal with these things, they may have been closed yesterday. With Internet & 24-hours a day updates on Sky Sports etc its hardly surprising that it appears to be taking ages. Think we need some patience on this one

That's the second article this week to feature our Chief Exec, the Herald carried it earlier on. It's great to see our club getting so much press coverage in the media, perhaps John Boyle's claim of being the Third Force wasn't so daft after all.
  4. I see rangers, not sure if that's old or new mind, are after Scott Arfield, no direct quotes from either an insider or the player http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/rangers/rangers-told-to-ringfence-scott-arfield-before-top-flight-clubs-get-in-127731n.21370556
  5. Stephen McGinn, ex-Buddie I think, just been released by Watford, attacking midfielder if memory serves, could be worth a wee look. Thoughts???
  6. We need a keeper http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22679633 If his deals paid in full he could play for the buttons that we pay. Not our usual method of buying unknowns but could be worth a punt
  7. Is this the guy that used to play at Kilmarnock? Sure we've been linked to him before
  8. I appreciate that money talks but look at Sutton, left for much more money & went a few months without all his wages. If stories that are doing the rounds have even half an element if truth to them, sevco will be in a similar position, wages being late or unpaid. The money may look good but unlike England, players have no guarantee about payments.

I agree with your thoughts about an opportunity rather than a setback. The Board also have previous for thinking a little outside the box in their choice of managers recently rather than the old boys network of Calderwood, Ian McCall & similar. In the board we trust, no longer McCall!
  10. Does this not sum things up. A player from Scotland's top league moves to the 3rd tier of English football rather than, just for talking sake, the 2nd best team in Scotland who can offer European football & an attractive way of playing the game! It beggars belief at times.

    Is that because they're Motherwell-minded
  12. Sorry, missed it back when it was announced. Hope McCall knew this before he signed on again
  13. So despite finishing second (I'm going out on a limb!!) McCall's to cut the budget yet again, it would appear. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/spl/mccall-is-told-to-cut-his-budget-yet-again-123075n.20969312 How desperate would things have been if we had finished 11th if this what happens in a fairly successful season?
  14. Totally agree with this statement, and fingers crossed they don't make an exception to their rule
  15. Ta muchly for this, I'll get onto it
  16. Anyone know if the ticket office is open tomorrow morning? Need a Cooper ticket but can't get there today
  17. Hopefully the compensation agreement in McCall's new contract is substantial!!
  18. How does this work then, Gers can't sign anyone until 1st Sept & most contracts end at the end of May, so are players expected to sit around for 3 months just cos the, once, mighty Gers have come calling all players are going to get wet & hang about for them! I really hate the fact that the media still think all players want to play for either half of the Old Firm & if they're out of contract that's where they'll end up
  19. Might be ghoulish or simply insensitive, but time waits for no man and all that, who from the Dunfermline players would be worth a contract at the 'Ark? Just noticed that Gallacher gas been freed and with Randy probably offski I think he could be worth a shout, even just as back up to Hollis
  20. Hopefully now that it looks like the manager's about to sign a new deal, some of the out of contract guys might decide to stay put as well. Randolph has already suggested playing week in, week out is preferable to big pay day & sitting on a bench.
  21. Can't see a queue of clubs lining up to take him after his 'starring' role at Sunderland, imo. He's hardly played any time & the wee bits I've seen he's not shone. Still feel he needs to play at a lower level to regain his match fitness before moving forward again. Why not a short term deal at the 'Ark to do it
  22. Rule was changed a few years ago. You are allowed to move on the line, side to side, provided you don't encroach the taker. Definitely helps the keeper IMO
  23. So would the pre-contract compensate players who wouldn't earn any wages from end of May until the beginning of September since no one can sign for Sevco until then? Either the MSM are trying to appease the mass ranks of thick h**s or the transfer embargo has no weight at all.
  24. I'd be gutted if this is where he ends up!! http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/rangers/exclusive-spl-striker-keen-on-switch-to-rangers-108148n.19506336
  25. Same situation with Stevie Thompson if St Mirren, incident in front of the Cooper Stand & it wasn't shown on the highlights package, and guess what, he's another media darling!! Mentioned before, all we look for is consistency, not favours
