I think most people on here are aware that McGhee wants to further his career but don't necessarily see that happening with Aberdeen. I think the lure of Pittodrie may tempt him but personally I think he would prefer a move nearer to his home in Brighton.

I think we would struggle to fill NDP in the early stages. If we were to progress a bit further then there would no doubt be a decent crowd back at Fir Park.

And that was a while ago! Having a good away day to somewhere new with your mates is great and no-one can deny that. For me, pre season friendlies are rotten and I wouldn't pay to get into them (it was OK when they were part of the season ticket! ). My main point is possibly having to play four qualifying rounds before reaching the group stages just doesn't do it for me. Entry into the group stages or one qualifying round a la Nancy...brilliant. Four rounds before that....nah. Just think it may be detrimental to our domestic campaign. Not moaning or complaining about it, merely putting another slant on it outwith the majority.

I don't doubt the day's out are great but it's the non-competitive football that gets in the way of them!

Pre-season friendlies are pish and a waste of time and money. Don't think these early qualifying rounds will be any different if we get there.

To be honest, four qualifying rounds before you enter the Europa League proper doesn't interest me at all. In my opinion it'll just be a big distraction from our domestic league duties and might even hinder our campaign due to injuries and burnout. Don't get me wrong, if we were in the Europe League I'd be over the moon but these games will probably be nothing more than competitive friendlies where we probably won't make it past the second stage due to lack of preparation time. If we don't get awarded the Fair Play spot it wouldn't worry me in the slightest.
