Wasn't at the game last night so can't comment too much but I must admit I did fear the worst after all that has been going on. Hopefully with another weeks training under our belts we can have a right good go at them in Wales. One thing I do like is the comments that Jim Gannon has said on the official site. He talked about the players looking very poor in the Rhyll bounce game and that although he needs to supplement the squad there are also players that need to be replaced. Think we've certainly been missing a mobile, tough tackling midfielder for years. Although if Hughes is to go, we don't really have any other midfield playmakers to help him out. Maybe Jim Gannon will sort that part of the midfield out also.

Worst game I saw him at right back was against Dundee in the Scottish Cup. Ripped a new arsehole at every attack. I suppose everyone has different views but he impressed me much more at centre half than at right back.

Call me a cynic but how can we attract this guy here with the budget we have? Hope I'm proved wrong but I just can't see how we can match the English wages that are on offer.

I was sure we had offered him a one year deal at the end of the season, could be wrong though. Can't blame the guy for looking after number 1, everyone would do the same in a similar situation.

He's never a right back, total bombscare in that position. Better than Reynolds at centre half in my opinion though.

If he's as good as all you County fans are telling us, we should win the fuckin' league this year! To be honest, he'll need a bit of time to get to grips with the pace in the game up here but hopefully he can get a few decent signings in and play some good football on our lovely, brand new pitch.

I know he didn't play too many games over the years but I was always impressed with him when he played at centre half. Think we've passed up on a good one there but hardly surprising given his horrific injuries. Let's hope we can get some signings in over the next couple of weeks to compensate for all these losses. It's all very well saying that we'll get 5 or 6 players in but delivering this may prove to be a bit harder. McGhee was lucky to bring in 5 or 6 players over two years! (probably due to the fact that he only wanted players better than what we had and being stubborn about it).

The best bit was the interviewer, 'There's grass on the park, it's playable'. I'm sure I've heard that line in the Mega Bar before!

Probably offered him a longer contract than the year that's on the table with us. IMO McLean is one of our better centre halfs and we should be trying to keep him unless of course Mr Gannon has other defenders in the pipeline.
