Melvin, what about the alleged pricing restructure of the Setanta TV deal? I know nothing official has been said but if it is true that it has decreased, then maybe that is why we are struggling a bit as opposed to last year? Unfortunately the farce of a pitch and the work to the Main Stand seem to have swallowed up our whole transfer budget.

Well it wisnae for me as I only got to about 10 games and didn't see them win all season! I'll not be renewing but it is a good deal at the moment for anyone undecided.

What's wrong with that?! Agreed we need some signings in quickly if some players are to move on but going on past performances, McGhee is a nightmare at moving fast in the transfer market. May not be his fault but down to the budget constraints that he has been given. I'm sure he's known for some time that Hughes and Buzz were not going to be hanging around and I for one was pretty sure we couldn't afford to keep Klimpl so hopefully he'll have an ace or two up his sleeve. Just don't hold your breath.

Any time I've seen McLean at centre half he has impressed me. Definitely not a right back but a very solid centre half and hopefully he'll get a chance to make that position his own.

Sure I read that the first game would be early July and that we would have to play at Broadwood or whatever Airdrie's ground is called due to our pitch repairs. Oh, and I couldn't really care less about pre-season friendlies. Total rip-off IMO.

Keepers are paid to save shots but they should also be able to deal with cross balls in and around their 6 yard box. Buzz is awful at that and in my opinion any reasonable keeper coming in can do the job he has been doing so far. It's all about opinions. Hughes is about the only player at Fir Park with a bit of class about him. Granted this season hasn't been his best but it hasn't been a good one for the whole team compared to last year. Much rather have a creative midfielder in the team to support the front players.

Command his box? Communicate with his defenders? Don't think Buzz will be as much as a loss as Hughes.

Certainly doesn't inspire any confidence going into the new season and it'll probably put people off buying season tickets if before a ball is even kicked, we're talking about a relegation dogfight. Is this a knock on effect of the reduced Setanta TV deal? If so, most other clubs outwith the Old Firm will be in the same boat. So another year of overpriced tripe to 'entertain' us again!

By the sounds of things from the BBC website, MM said we couldn't afford the two players from Livi and they have both gone to St. Johnstone. Is that really our level after all these years as a top flight club that a team that has been in division 1 for about 7 years can beat our wages? Sad state of affairs if true. BBC
