That's He liked a malt also.
  2. Anywhere if the time off is possible and the mrs lets me. Where does a pre-season European training camp holiday put me in the table?

I believe the sum of 5/6 grand is right. Wonder if MM asked about Bob Harris?

    In's And Out's

Everyone's for sale I would imagine. I expect to see a lot of Championship, Div 1 teams coming to pick the best in the SPL and Div 1. Dobbie to Swansea for example - The Doonhamers are saying 5/6 grand a week. I expect to see 4 or 5 players leave (the glalactico's mainly) and hope MM is going about the business of securing players now.
  5. I don't rate him as a manager and Birmingham play shit, unattractive football for the coin the players are on.. It looks to me that Birmingham don't trust him with the £'s also. Pleased to see Sturrock and Argyle stay up.
  6. Here's some I took. I've a load more and shall stick them up when I've more time. Although little blurred (shit camera on phone)I am rather proud of the eye in the sky photo's. http://s675.photobucket.com/albums/vv114/tree1999/ Thanks and a large malt to everyone that made the trip so memorable.

Ok I set myself up for that one. A cracking young player though and would push Hammel for his place very quickly.

    In's And Out's

Bob Harris is a great shout and I know that he has been watched by Motherwell scouts(I posted earlier in the year that he may be heading our way) and a good few other SPL Clubs. As you say, a great left foot and quick to boot. He's young, but having seen him play a few times this year he looks more than able. To make another QOS connection, they had GK Cameron Bell on loan at the start of the season (now on the Killie bench). He has been approached by several SPL clubs including Motherwell. St Johnstone are also very keen to sign him.

Draw at the Death Star and beat St Midden. 6 points from 4 games. Will it be enough? This is why I love the top six shake up.
  10. How's Aydilek doing? I asked this question on an earlier topic and didn't get much feedback.

    Reserve Team

I don't get the opportunity to watch the reserves or U-19'S and was wondering who might might get a chance next year. How's Aydilek doing? Thoughts appreciated.

Hibs have two big games next. Two draws would be nice. What do you reckon 6 points see us there?
  14. You're probably right fatcalf but what the club needs is a cash injection. The idea of sponsoring a yard of the pitch is certainly worth looking at but I would like to see Boyle offer the supporters a stake in the club. A grand a share (top of my head). Those that buy get discounted season tickets for a set number of years and an elected body gives the fans some control over club decisions. The biggest legacy Boyle could leave MFC would be a partnership between the fans and any future owner/s.
  15. Agreed. I've said it before and I'll say it again. If Boyle can't fullfill promises made then perhaps it's time to open the ownership of the club up to a wider group of investors. I will always be thankful to Boyle for taking the debt on that he did but he can't continue to bury his head in our pitch.
  16. Spot on. Last home game I was at was the midweek Hearts game. It was some contrast. My youngest (six) turned to me at half time, gave me a look and said, `I thought you said we were good dad`. Second half was better.
  17. Good luck to The Loco's. Hoping its a good game and everyone returns home safely.
  18. I can understand those who are frustrated with MM or Motherwells lack of recruitement/loan signings. The squad is lightweight however you look at it and has been for over a year. I agree the first team is as good as it has been for a number of years but whoever said if injuries come about to our best players again (Clarkson) we are in trouble, is right. What gets my heckles up is constantly being told by those at the club that we are looking at players. Some people on here have been saying it's not MM's fault he can't get players at this moment in time. That may be true. Perhaps he needs another year to find someone who can make our squad stronger. What interests me is that when Boyle gave MM his pay rise, did MM also not negociate a future transfer budget. It's beginning to look like Boyle said, `you can have a pay rise but it will mean there is no money for building the squad`. I don't want us to spend money if it's not there. I don't mind if we settle for bottom six and give the youth a chance. I do dislike being treated as daft though. Oh I see we have captured Sheridan since writing this. Everythings Ok now. I take it all back.
  19. Shite, tortoise, turtle - Hell he might appear out of McGhee's arse
  20. I'm trying but this frenzy of transfer speculation is taking its toll.
  21. Agreed, but what confounds me the most is that we (Motherwell) have left it so late to secure anyone. We may now be relying on other clubs to get their targets before they allow `our loans` to leave. That to me is poor business. People may say we have been waiting for the Porter situation to work out, but here was me thinking MM had a number of (loan) targets he wanted to bring in even if Porter stayed.
  22. I may join you. It's one of only away games I'm going to get the chance to go and watch. I'm in London that week and head home at 6.30 Saturday morning. I would have got off and seen the kids for an hour or two before going to the game but instead I'll just have to stay on and ride the train to Killie. Large malts all the way up.
