Slattery - was a breeze for him today and was all over the pitch
-
This team but Sparrow for Johnny & Gordon for Sods
-
Mystic Me - I've predicted Ross County & Aberdeen draws so far - I think that's 465-1. But there's more to the gut feel Ross County - Expected to see Kettlewell back Aberdeen - expected us to get the hardest non-OF team left. Hopefully I can get another shot next round.
-
The problem with AP is that he has a couple of significant faults in his play. Most players have responded to the coaching of JBA but I don't believe AP has at all.
-
I agree with the wages/transfer fee part no doubt and I don't think it will happen at all. But would I have him - undoubtedly
-
He's absolutely class. We love technically gifted players. He could win us a trophy.
-
I disagree. Just has been exceptional for us.
-
Thought Watt was class personified today. Barring his shooting!
-
Really good post. Longelo like Stevie hammell of old had to make up for the ineffectual Said today (in terms or tracking and physicality) covering masses of space. Said and even more so Osong don't fit into JBA's style of play. Charles Cook is a far more physcial player and would have helped Longelo more today. Sparrow massively helped Koutroumbis on the other side.

Okay team time! Ward Koutroumbis McGinn Welsh Longelo Watt Fadinger Slattery Charles Cook / Said Stama Just
-
What strikes me is none of our defensive line are signed up for the new campaign - only 15 goals lost this season. Who deserves a new contract?
-
Hard to pick a team nowadays with our bench being so strong. So here goes Ward Koutroumbis Gordon Welsh Longelo Watt Fadinger Just Charles Cook Stama Maswinhise I mean O'Donnell & McGinn have done nothing wrong to miss out. I wouldn't play Said this game but would consider him v Dundee.

I'm not Wellfans biggest advicator in his views "initially" From Kettlewell to Stam he is proven right in the long haul usually. The problem I now have with Stam is 2fold - and as an optimist I hope he can sort. 1. The ball bounces off him one foot every time it is played to him - we don't need someone necessarily that give more goals but what we do need is a striker is who can take the ball in and feed others. 2. If you listen closely to the coverage the commentator he says AP "was caught in his heels there" -a better aspect is finding someone who isn't Over to you AP or Wellfan let's see who is right in the long haul.

It's Marcus Aurelius. "The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane." (Actually reading that back I've got it wrong - but cannae be bothered deleting it - thought I was clever writing that - back to the bevvy now)
-
So without the club needing it for the foreseeable, how much are we sitting with and what's the plans?
-
Ward Sparrow Gordon Welsh Longelo Watt Priestman Fadinger Charles Cook Maswanhise Just
-
I think he should play the same team that played on Tuesday. I actually think playing with a central striker worsens the team. Our best player Priestman on Tuesday, deserves another chance and Koutroumbis gives us more defensive cover. No changes - which is mental considering we have Slattery and Fadinger.
-
The big problem in this game is that Just, Maswanishe and Charles Cook have been to more weird and wonderful places this week than Captain Cook in his lifetime.
-
I was good pals with Bobby Madden when I was younger. He played at a decent level "juniors" I suppose whether you like him or not was one of the reasons he got up the ladder so highly.
-
Once we win both cups this argument will be immaterial!!
-
I need to give a shout out to Sods - a player I've given a lot of stick too last year I was pleased he was playing on Saturday and not put a foot wrong this season Well done my man
-
I'd have ten AP Stams over Osong who is actually shite
-
Modern manager jargon don't worry about it! It's just the phases they go through....it's all about momentum.
-
Yeh I feel the same way about AP. Guy is slogging his guts out - perhaps even overtrying but it's not coming off for him.
-
Early days as you are saying. I think the grief AP is getting and Ward is getting is, is because of the JBA words of ambition. The fans are now being ambitious too. If the two had been on top form we would be on 8 points & I think a very deserved 8 points as well.
