Great point and highly doubt it. Captain and a Vice Captain there. We can add Koutroumbis, Wilson, Balmer, Nicholson, Robinson to the back ups. I don't think anyone's "pant wetting" - but points like Melvin's are here to be discussed. That's likely to be a good bit of budget spent on these two as examples and it's clear Wimmer needs to bring in quality - as there isn't enough of it in our massive 34 man squad.

So far I have heard with posters we should keep O'Donnell McGinn Halliday Watt Slattery Casey Paton So what changes for next season?
-
Yet in the ins and outs every contract dished out seems to be regarded positively. More of this to come then......

Can whoever wins the left back spot on the "live the dream" competition by the Well Society take over from Dom Thompson please
-
How come? Injury? not enough game time?

A couple of people have mentioned the word battle. I think if there's one team that battle doesn't apply to in this league is St Johnstone and I doubt the game will play out that way. Their celtic game victory was backs to the wall but that's a different thing.

At this stage of the season I feel it's best if we can send some inspectors to Falkirk to see what's wrong with their stadium just to give us some comfort.
-
Spot on - Oxborough and Wilson, for two. Wilson lost a lot of confidence but he is here to stay. That confidence won't grow sitting on the bench as an unused sub.
-
About 15 players will leave so it will be a new team. If it was the same.....sure, but there will be hopefully a vast difference!
-
Bang on. Everyones team selection barring mine (I had davor) had him it. He looks totally lost. At least Davor gets involved.
-
Quoting my own post - O'Donnell and Halliday fans specifially. PS: O'Donnell was fine today but we need a complete overhaul.
-
It's really simple - we don't have the players. We are not missing anyone that can change a game in an attacking sense for us barring A.P God even bring back Robinson! Think I've just made an argument to my own question! What I mean is - the subs and squad we have just now - there's not one bright spark. Frustrates me how specific supporters are wanting extensions and longer term deals for absolute mediocrity at best.

team! Oxborough O'Donnell Casey Balmer Wilson Davor Miller Slattery Sparrow Maswanhise Armstrong

Yeh I'd have to agree - when it comes to the final - I wouldn't be able to cope with them actually winning it.
-
Signed as a CDM - this is where he wants to play. However it remains to be seen if he gets his wish.

It's probably quite a divisive thing. I for one support all Scottish teams in Europe. It becomes more difficult when the OF gloating fans never tell us the end of it but I try and stick to my guns!

I think it depends a lot on the background of the way we run our club. I am so intrigued on how players are signed and how much say Wimmer has or even Kettlewell had on this. If we continue in the same vein and sign crocks from Ross County (who wimmer will be unaware of) I am fairly sure that the pain will continue. Could we see some input from the manager from abroad? I always liked the Hearts under Romanov raiding the Slovak and Lithuanian leagues (not highly paid) and promoting our youths. I am done with journeymen from Scotland & guys who can't get a game for lower league English sides. McGhee is a first team player at Dundee and I am ok with this.

The much maligned Davor should come in to the team, allowing our other midfielders to push up. The Carlisle forums were an interesting read at the time we signed Armstrong. They are having an awful season and much down to the 1 up front tactics that Armstrong was faced with down there. They felt he could operate better in a two. We spend too much time adapting players to a failed system instead of playing to people strengths. Maswanhise was terrifying at first playing wide of the central striker (then Robinson) Wilson lost all confidence - Kaleta lost all confidence. They are not bad players but they were hung out to dry by Kettlewell.
-
Despite us being truly hopeless, what you initially said is a fact.
-
Agreed. Want to move forward not the same old.
-
Team selection! Oxborough Sparrow Gordon (if fit) Casey Seddon (if fit) Wilson Davor Miller Slattery Maswanhise Armstrong

Certainly was signed as a DM - there is no issue with this transfer and it will proceed as normal.

7 days ago we had a discussion on a forum with many considering SOD a fine signing for another year which I do not agree with. I stated that SOD is part of an overall issue of a whole complete defensive restructure. Simply put we should be reshaping our whole back line come the 24-25 season. We need an overhaul and again I'd love to say goodbye to nearly all of our defence. 5 at the back and Nisbet scores ,open the seas of our defence with a simple header. These ongoing contracts only hinders us solving a much bigger picture.

Slattery for me. It be interesting to have a worst player vote! Watt, Thomson & Balmer for me!
