That pretty much sums up this debate, although its a bit of an oversimplification. Some like Fizoxy are indeed customers looking for value for money before they commit to a purchase others like Italix are supporters prepared to put in as well as take out. Those who attend games may fall into several different camps. We all have money to varying degrees and its its up to us all how we spend that cash. Thats life I guess.

I really don't know how you can say that. I wouldn't presume to speak for our fans fair weather or die hard. Odense are one of the best teams in Denmark and for those with a genuine interest in football and who can afford it I would reckon it would be an attractive match. What would you class as attractive opposition incidentally? I genuinely don't know what the financial effect of increasing admission by a fiver will be and I suspect most fans don't either.

So if Dundee United qualify for the group stages you're expecting them to reduce prices to £15 to reward loyal fans? That just isn't going to happen. I'd like to think that our club would charge no more than £5 full whack for the Odense home tie but I know that just isn't on. Sadly, we live in the harsh world of football finances.

As many know I'm not Keith Lasley's biggst fan, although I don't dislike him. Whilst I agree with what you say, we must bear in mind that both Lasley and Tom Hateley are holding/defensive midfielders and were somewhat out of their comfort zone last night. They were asked to do jobs for which they're not suited. We still need a mobile box to box or mobile creative central midfielder.

Aaalesund have a great bunch of fans and they were a credit to their club. The ones I met briefly were top class. Swapped scarves and I'll now have to buy a new C & A one. Good luck to Aalesund for the rest of their season.

Hear hear Andy! Some good points made on all sides but this has been obscured by petty abuse and name calling. We're all Well fans - lets show each other some respect and clean up these Boards to attract back the many lost members.

Dario Quinn is rated as being a good prospect by the management at Fir Park. I'd guess therefore he's being farmed out to gain experience and toughen him up....nothing more, nothing less.

Because, over the course of a season the ST holder will probably attend more games and pump more cash into the club, and in advance (As always of course there are exceptions - I quite accept that there are a small number of ST holders who rarely attend a game and there are some PATG fans who attend every home game without fail). A ST ticket is probably the best, though imperfect, proxy for loyalty.

You're basically suggesting a free for all? If long standing and loyal fans can't purchase tickets quick enough, then tough - thats their look out. A bit callous and ruthless in my view. I'm sorry but that's a sure fire way to alienate and offend a lot of season ticket holders, who comprise over 50% of our core support, in one fell swoop. No system is perfect but a database of names is as near as it gets. That said, some recognition should be given to those who travelled to Iceland and Norway, by way of thanks.

There's also the option of detailing a smaller guy to police him and hassle him and prevent him from getting a free header with the time and the space to place the ball where he wants. Hearts used to deploy this tactic to great effect. Its hard to jump if someone, however small, is standing on your foot.

It would make sense to give ST holders and memebrs of the Trust and Supporters Association priority, although there'd be some overlap. Long term, the answer is to set up a database of fans. This would serve a variety of purposes including allocation of home stand tickets for OF games.

We might be rivals on the pitch for 90 minutes but as others have said Aalesund fans should be made to feel welcome at Fir Park. This is a golden chance for the club to create a good impression in Europe and Norway in particular. Norwegian fans should be made to feel welcome. I have happy memories of Norway having spent some time in Odda and Sogndal.

In my view the club has done nothing wrong, nothing whatsoever.

Given the timespan it would be a logistical nightmare. It would be unworkable. Given that the club had considerably less than a fortnight to organise home leg tickets how long would season ticket holders be given to "book" their seats? One week? If that was the case then non season ticket holders would have say 3 days to collect theirs. This could lead to a large number of ticket sales artificially crammed into a very limited time slot. What about mixed groups of ST holders groups wanting to sit beside their friends/family who weren't ST holders? I suppose the only alternative would be to sell a Euro package for say 3 games in advance and then folk would take their chance as to whether or not we'd be involved in 3 games. They might end up forking out to see 3 games but in reality only watching one. I'm a season ticket holder myself and someone has taken my seat - so what? I'll be in the same general area and that'll suit me fine.

IF we get through, and at this stage its still very uncertain of course, I'd take anybody except an English premier league side. Lets hope for an interesting side from Europe that we haven't seen before. I for one, am bored of the same old English teams overexposed on the telly. We can watch the Liverpools every day of the week during the season if we want.

It really is game on for both teams. Both sides will go into next week's encounter knowing that they can progress. While we go into the game with a slight advantage its going to be tough, very tough. Aalesund are well capable of winning and Craig Brown will drum that into the players. We will find it hard to score many if we rely solely on Jamie Murphy who admittedly is shaping up well this season so far. A very tense and interesting return awaits. Get along to Fir Park next week folks!
