I always thought that footballers wanted to win things? I mean, he must have some serious dough in the bank now after his stints with Everton & Birmingham?

It is a shame that such a talented player will basically win next to fuck all throughout his career. I thought that would have been the driving force behind him eventually signing for either Rangers or Celtic.
  3. More than likely. Considering the game is on telly as well, I doubt there'll be much of an away crowd.
  4. From what I heard from those at the game there's no danger of us stealing three points. Hibs were lucky to only lose 1-0 by the sounds of it.
  5. I'd be more worried if he wasn't getting into position to actually try and score. His goalscoring record thus far is pretty good, and sooner or later those shots that hit the bar and the post will start going in.
  6. The juggernaut continues as we try to close the gap on Rangers at the top of the league. Surely if Celtic fans believe a 10 point gap can be closed, a 7 pointer should be nothing to the mighty 'Well? This game is on Sky Sports, which will no doubt have an adverse affect on our attendance Still, less any injuries I'd go with the exact same team again. McCall knows what he's doing, and despite Killie getting a result against Celtic last weekend I fancy us to win this game by the odd goal.
  7. I'm more than happy with top six football and a decent cup run. If we manage to challenge for a top 4 position that's a bonus.
  8. I know we have the big game against Spain to look forward to this week, but I'm already looking to the weekend and hoping we can continue where we left off against United. Providing Jennings isn't being distracted by events off the pitch, I think we'll go with the same line-up again. I don't think there was any injuries picked up, was there?
  9. The club have to (and should) stand behind the player 100% until he's proven guilty. Until such a time as there is concrete evidence that he's guilty he's a Motherwell player and should be included in the squad as per normal.
  10. Even so, surely her decision of not allowing over 50 paying punters into the game because they displayed "attitude" must be called into question. Also, her actions of barring the lads way to the main office tells me that she wasn't too keen on her paymasters hearing about what was going on.
  11. The list has been updated. Cheers Rickoza.
  12. None of it is incorrect, but your post is pretty much invalid because all of what you said is irrelevant. The man stuck the ball in the net. That's all that matters. Be it a 30 yard screamer or a deflection that ricocheted off his left arse cheek, they all count.
  13. Both points that I was going to reply with there as well. Stop talking nonsense Albi.
  14. Murphy may well have suffered a dip in form lately, but rest assured that we'll all be greetin' into our cornflakes when he eventually moves to a bigger club.
  15. You could be right Weeyin. I've not managed to get to as many away games as I would have liked so I can't really comment on how we're playing away from home this season. As things stand we're sitting second in the league and Higdon is our top scorer
  16. It was a giggle the first few times it happened. When it's going on throughout virtually every home game it gets a bit tiresome. I know we need every fan we can get, but I also wish that some of these characters would just stop going.
  17. It's not quite as simple as that I'm afraid. If Higdon had played badly throughout the game and the fans had started getting on his case, then fair enough. The booing and heckling started after four minutes when Higdon chested the ball down and misplaced a pass. Four minutes. It appears to me, and this is just my opinion, that certain sections of the support are looking for the opportunity to get on Higdon's case at any opportunity.
  18. I hope we don't see a trend developing where the team play better away from home, where the abuse levels aren't quite so high.
  19. From what I heard yesterday it sounded like Lasley had another outstanding performance in our midfield. This is becoming a trend in most Motherwell games, with Keith looking more & more like the complete midfielder. The question is, is he having his best season in claret & amber yet? He's been at Motherwell for around 10 years now over two spells, and has managed almost 250 appearances in that period. An excellent player for the club, and one of footballs all-round good guys. It's just a shame that he's the wrong side of 30, because if he was in his early or mid 20's he'd surely be knocking on the door of the national side.
  20. No, the fans calling him a "fat c*nt" and so forth isn't justified, no matter how rotten he was.
