Looks like the Anniversary top was a good idea after all.
Indeed.
Cash Converters may be a decent sponsor, but I'll not be wearing a shirt with it on it.

How much does qualifying for Europe affect our signings? Does the bonus of offering a run in Europe appeal to players that we wouldn't get otherwise do you think?
-
Seriously though, does anyone actually know any Celtic fans who want to sit in the Motherwell end? I don't.
-
Why dont we all get togeather for a pub crawl around motherwell friday night and paint the town claret and amber
Or, why not go to the big Motherwell cup final party that's happening in Motherwell instead?

Finally a dose of realism on this board. Can only echo what you've said here, in that I hope we win but I just can't see it atall. I've just watched the highlights of today's game and also Neil Lennon's speech at the end of the game. They absolutely determined to win silverware this season and they will not lose to us next Saturday, it just won't happen. If they come out the traps flying then this final will be over by half time.
I'll bet you're a right bundle of laughs at parties, aren't you?

It's a one-off game, with a one-off atmosphere. Except for the men opposite us being in green & white it'll bear no real resemblance to todays game at all.
How many of our players have played in a national cup final? They'll be amped up. It's their world cup final, and most of them will know the respect and legend that has been created by the class of '91.
I have absolutely no idea how it'll go, but I just hope we don't come away from the game with any regrets. If we lose, we lose whilst giving 100%.
That's all I ask.

Come next Saturday there will be two managers in the Hampden dug-outs.
One of them displayed an unbelievable will to win as a player, for both club & country. Taking no prisoners and always leading from the front during a career that saw him win league titles and domestic trophies.
He backs every one of his players to the hilt, putting 100% into the job every day, and has instilled a sense of pride in a club that had suffered recently under a former manager who doesn't even compare to the man in the job today.
He's taken his team to the Scottish cup final, and the chance to win some silverwear this season, and will deserve every accolade he gets after doing just that.
Regardless of the result though, he's given his clubs fans hope for the season ahead and managed to create a buzz around the club again.
The manager in the other dug out will be Neil Lennon.

Was too hungover to get out of bed earlier, so I just made that instead!
Based on this (obviously):
Do you mind if I steal this for my Facebook? Wind up a few bhoys before the final!

To be fair though, if you take all the shite out of the equation he's done not too badly.
He brought in some good players, and has reached two cup finals whilst taking the league to the final day of the season. That's not why the fans are staying behind to cheer him though...

Does anyone know when next season kicks off? Did the plan for an earlier start go through?

The league is over, now it's time for the build-up to "the" game of the season

"Wilson is not entirley clear of discomfort."
We someone boot him in the knee again before he gets taken off
Forget Wilson, we need to put the boots to the likes of Izzaguire, Hooper & Brown.

This commentary on Radio Scotland is doing my head in
I'd get used to it. We're just the supporting act in the Neil Lennon show, and it'll be the same next week.
That's why we really need to beat them and win that cup.

Well, it looks like it's up to us to secure our own European spot for next season.
-
An excellent corner from Hateley there, Hutch almost scored with a header.
-
So who should be our first target be? Who should we be taking out?
I was just thinking that! Not too sportsmanlike I guess, but when it comes to winning our first trophy in 20 years I'm all for it.
If I were a young player on the field today I'd look to take out Izaguirre first

What? The greatest supporters in the world? Of course not.

Hollis has done quite well thus far. Hopefully the Rangers result will take the wind out of their sails a bit and allow us into the game.

It would appear that even Sky are biased against Celtic as well;
Meanwhile, Celtic fans claim their clash against Motherwell has been snubbed by Sky Sports. They're furious that their showdown has been relegated to the broadcaster's red button service on Sky Sports 4 while the Rangers game will be shown live.
The move means Virgin Media customers won't be able to watch the game.
Celtic fan Patrick Kerr, 28, of Paisley said: "Both games are equally important Sky should show both matches on different channels."

Is it? I thought they were doing the ballot for a week, then public sale?
Anyways, the point on posting personal details on a public section of the forum still stands. Use the hidden section for trading/selling/buying ticket, or do business via the PM function.
If you haven't got the password, fire one of us a PM.
-
Now that the ballot is over, could we please advise those still seeking tickets/looking to shift tickets to do so in the Scottish cup section of the forum.
It's never a wise idea to post full names, email addresses & mobile phone numbers in a section of the forum that is visible to non-members.
If you've been a regular poster, and a member of the board since Christmas then get in touch with a mod/admin for the password.
I've taken the liberty of removing all posts that display any of the above contact details.
Cheers,
David

theres a guy i know who has no interest in football and never been to a well game before but hes managed to get 4 tickets through the ballot for him his wife and 2 weans and the only reason he wants to go is because he works in motherwell.im no saying i deserve a ticket more than anybody else but ive been to every scottish cup game this season and the thought of missing out in a cup final is depressing especially to folk thatll be no where near fir park next season
I'm assuming that this guy won't be on any database held by the club then? Surprised he got a ticket in that case.

According to the Motherwell Times every ticket we have has been accounted for, so if anyone hasn't gotten the call yet it looks unlikely that they will.
