As was said earlier, I put the idea to the original poster about changing the thread. The discussion was basically two pages of Pangloss and others talking about the legalities of standing up/sitting down at football games, and was in danger of drifting off-topic. When the campaign kicks off properly it'll be worth having a thread that isn't clogged up with shite.

This seems to be the general consensus, doesn't it? Whilst the lads who were standing may have technically been breaking the rules, it appears they weren't actually doing any harm, and the stewards saw a chance to flex their muscles.

I've renamed the topic, so you can untwist your frillies there Brazilian.

Will we be able to download the podcasts? That's one gripe I've always had with the Wishaw Press Motherwell podcast. Being able to listen to it whilst on the move would be nice.

Having spoken to the original poster of the thread I've split the Aberdeen crowd trouble talk into a seperate thread. Let's keep this thread for discussing the campaign. Cheers.

If we take fourteen points from those games I'll be more than happy. We should be looking to win all of our home games, and take at least a point from our away games. I know the chances of us doing that are slim, but I feel we are playing well enough to at least believe we can achieve that target. A crucual aspect to the rest of our games in 2011 is the fact that of the six games, four of them are against the clubs sitting directly behind us. Good results against Hearts, Dundee United, St Mirren & St Johnstone will set us up perfectly for the 2nd half of the season.

The first of two home games in under a week. Usually I'm a bit wary of playing United, but with the way things are going for us at present I find it hard to see us taking anything but three points from this game. That means we'll end up with a 1-1 draw no doubt!

It all has to come together in order to get the results we've been getting though, surely? It's all well & good for our midfield and defence to be playing well, but we need someone to stick the ball in the net at the other end, which he's been doing. I simply can't see where anyone can be critical of any first team regulars at present. We're doing abolutely superb at the moment, and that's down to everyone, from the management to the team.

The officiating has been appalling from what I've heard on the MFCTV commentary.

Any idea what's going on at Pittodrie today? The MFCTV commentary have kind of brushed it off as nothing?

Did they sneak in a drum or a flag?

I like the sound of that. Murphy is due to give someone a right roasting, and Aberdeen are as good a team as any to do it to.

With the pesky international friendly out of the way we can now look forward to this game proper. I still think our performance against Celtic gives us the confidence to take all three points from this one. I'll go for a 2-1 scoreline, with Higdon scoring.

Hasn't he been in the Ireland squad before? Pleased for him, even if that means he's now officially "Celtic minded", which may prompt some interest from the east end of Glasgow.

I'm just saying. I know a guy who got himself & his son into the main stand Celtic end for just over thirty notes.

We aren't getting £20 for each of them though. The main stand housed a lot of adult & child ticket specials if what I'm hearing is correct.
