  1. An afternoon that will hopefully start with us seeing Celtic drop points in Inverness and then us beating Aberdeen, sending us clear into 2nd again
  2. Agreed. I think it's fair to say that a top 4 finish shouldn't be out of the question, and certainly what we should be aiming for now.
  3. I've had no problem with the site at all since the day it started. Must be a problem with your browser or something.
  4. Look, it wasn't my intention to take a pop at anyone. It may have seemed that way, and that may be because I typed up the post shortly after coming home when I was still hyped up. If anyone is offended by it, I apologise. I felt that the team gave a very good account of themselves yesterday, and felt that when they were joined by the manager in the centre circle after the game they deserved as close to a full house of applause as was possible. It fucking killed me to see our players applaud a half-empty stand whilst "the greatest fans in the world" are still there to a man applauding that shower of imposters they call Celtic players.

Sportscene has taken a turn for the better this week. Our Keith is on the panel.

Interesting stuff today. Not seen the vote split as much as this for a while.
  7. They'll be getting fuck all east stand.
  8. Yeah, looking across into the main stand I felt a bit sorry for the 'Well fans stuck in there with that lot.
  9. If we secure a top four finish and big Higdon finishes as our top scorer this thread will be very useful for those who are badmouthing him to look back in embarrassment. I'm not quite sure what kind of striker they expect us to pick up on a free at the wage level we can offer? He's scoring goals and we're doing well. What else can you ask?
  10. He was getting the usual shouts about not jumping for high balls again from the east stand.
  11. He's trying to create that siege mentality that served them so well last season. You can't really blame him though, he needs something to keep him in the job.
  12. Do other teams really raise their game more against the Old Firm than we did today though? I've yet to see anyone batter them to be honest. We just didn't get the slice of luck that the teams who get the results against them seem to find.
  13. I completely agree, but at that point the proof will be in the pudding, so to speak.
  14. At that point though, those who don't rate him will simply be wrong.
  15. He'll have to finish the season as the top scorer in a Motherwell team that clinches a top four finish. Even that may not be enough for some though.

Lasley for me. If he was a Dundee United player he'd be in the Scotland squad
  17. I love you too lad. I'm not actually questioning their freedom of choice, I'm simply asking why someone would pay twenty odd quid to go to a game then leave with ten minutes to go and the game still up for grabs? It's a bit like going to see a movie then fucking off before you find out how it finishes.
  18. Is that almost a compliment there Jim?
  19. Aye, in the grand scheme of things we'd have been lucky to get a point I reckon. Still, we played well and certainly didn't get steamrolled.
  20. This has to be one of my pet hates at the moment. Let's take today as an example. We're 2-1 down against Celtic with 80 minutes on the clock. The game is raging from end to end, with chances for both teams. I'm trying to watch the game and already there is a steady stream of people asking me to move so they can get by and leave. There are people heading for the exits from other rows and sections as well. Now, I can fully understand that some people buy into the whole "beat the traffic" myth, which basically shaves a negligible amount of time off your journey home, but when we're 2-1 down against Celtic with ten minutes still to go? Really? I've found myself leaving early once this season, which was the game against St Johnstone when we lost 3-0. It was a lost cause and the players deserved nothing from the game, or from the fans. When McCall came over to the east stand with a few of the players after todays game it would have been nice had he been clapping to less empty seats. The players put in a decent shift today and deserved some recognition in my opinion. Anyway, it's a fucking real annoyance at times
  21. Fuck the both of them. I just wish that more of our own fans had hung around long enough to return the applause that McCall gave to the fans in the east.
