  1. McMillan injured? Is that all four of the left backs at the club injured.?
  2. Clay or Bowman. Went for Bowman as he was involved in pretty much all of the good things we did going forward before he was taken off...
  3. Felt we were very poor in the first half tonight but despite that we were one deflection away from getting in at half time at 0-0. Thought we were creating some chances early in the second half although they always looked dangerous on the break. So I can understand why McGhee wasn't rushing to make changes. Of course when he did, he took off the one striker who was actually contributing anything. Feel that Bowman could feel very hard done by. Watching Hammell and Lasley is making me hanker for the return of Chalmers and McHugh. McDonald was another that was desperately poor. It's also brutally obvious how crucial Cadden is to the team right now. Tactically, we're narrow and predictable. Only Cadden seems capable of dragging defenders out of position. Could make a case for dropping one of the front three for Ainsworth to inject some pace and width. He blows hot and cold but at least his pace might make teams think about defending a bit deeper. Some of the players were very poor tonight but, for me, none of their performances were worse than that of the manager...
  4. As always, good to see McGhee making changes early when things aren't working...
  5. Bet365 just built my hopes up there. Showed 'Goal Motherwell' by mistake. Should have known better...
  6. Cheers, just wondered as a post said "get Samson tae fuck". Sounded like he was to blame. Hurry back Joe Chalmers..?
  7. Most media reports suggesting a horrendous passbook from Hammell. Should Samson have done better..?
  8. One down. Sounds like we haven't shown up by official Twitter updates...
  9. I voted for Clay. Obviously Moult was man of the match but reckon Clay deserves some recognition for how he's coming on to a game...
  10. An assist and winning a penalty is a difficult day? Actually thought he did well until Moult went off and we lost our way a bit as a team...
  11. We let them back into it and it was closer than it should have been. They missed some chances but we had a few situations where the ball didn't break or the final ball wasn't quite right. Other than Moult (obviously) I was impressed by Clay, Bowman and Cadden today. Clay did well taking the ball in tight situations and while not as eyecatching as Cadden, did get forward to decent effect at times. Bowman looks useful in the air and had a few decent touches on the deck as well. Good flick on for the first goal and did well to win the penalty. Cadden was Cadden. All power, running through people, running over people. Fantastic player. I won't say it was an enjoyable game to watch (too tense on occasions) but you certainly couldn't take your eyes off it and it was value for money...

    Left Backs

I think I was at Andy Roddie's one good game for us. Seem to remember him playing well down at Kilmarnock the day we won 4-2 with Coyne scoring a hattrick...
  13. Some people have taken an irrational dislike to Blyth based on nothing but a couple of rumours. However the question has to be asked why we've signed a second player in Bowman who in his initial interview described his own style of play exactly the same way that Blyth did on arrival. It does lend itself to people asking the question of why McGhee felt the need to sign Bowman if Blyth is looking the part...

    Left Backs

Similar to McSkimming, was there not a period between Boyd and McKinnon where Nijholt and Angus had spells at left back or am I havering..?
  15. I (clearly) had completely forgotten about Connor Grant...
  16. Nutmegged Dougie Imrie, played in a 3-1 win at Ibrox. Good enough for me...
  17. It's true that you probably could come up with a team of loan signings (as you say, with the exception of full backs). Thing that I sometimes forget is that the likes of Greg Strong and Kevin McBride were loan signings before they signed permanent deals. Best loan signings for me would be Jutkiewicz, Alan McCormack and Krisztian Vadocz. John Spencer, Kevin McBride and Greg Strong were all good in their loan spells and didn't really maintain that level (although Spencer was burdened by expectations and perception that he wasn't offering value for money). Poor loan signings? Don't really have too many to point the finger at because the likes of Offiong and Andy Smith didn't feature that much to have a negative impact on the team. Does that make them more pointless loan signings? Mark O'Brien is maybe one that was poor and played a fair bit. Can't think of too many others...
  18. Double edged sword. Great they're both getting recognition, hope they come through the match unscathed injury wise...
  19. Can I be the first to sarcastically point out that there will be some amount of overlap in this thread given the number of former players we tend to sign..?
