I thought the rules got changed up to 5 at the winter break. Think only Hearts maybe complained. I could be totally wrong tho
-
I wasn't a Woolerly fan but I thought the last 4 or 5 games before the christmas break he really came onto a game and was a great addition to the team. He wasn't up to scratch at the weekend but hopefully its just temporary
-
After Tuesdays result and the managers reaction, i reckon we will absolutely smash them!!
-
He doesn't really say anything controversial there at all. We might not agree with the motivation for going to Dundee United, but can't fault what he says there. He praises his new employers, is happy with his decision and doesn't bad mouth Motherwell. All fair enough, time to move on.

There was always question marks over Watts ability to stick the ball in the back of the net. As much as we could all see his football brain and technical skills, did any Motherwell fan seriously think Watt would be hanging around the top of the goal scorers chart? That doesn't mean i disagree with you on Shankland by the way

Dont forget she put Holland into a full lockdown at the weekend, shes shut the boozers in Ireland at 8pm each night and i believe cancelled all the dancing in Portugal. Just wait till boxing day when she rolls out restrictions in England with next to no notice, then shit will really hit the fan

Next thing he will be telling us the player of the year is a fat bas!
-
All the while being under serious pressure from @MJC_mkII
-
We tried that against Rangers and they took 6 off us. Dundee United tried it against Celtic and it was some kind of miracle it only finished 3. We should have a go at them, they are dodgy at the back and they don't like it up them
-
If we play like Saturday then you would have to fancy us for the win, however this is Motherwell we are talking about..... we have just beaten Aberdeen and Hearts so it would be natural for us to get turned over by the lesser side of the bunch.
-
They were all excellent. Woolery for me today, perhaps because hes usually pish but i thought he was top drawer today

100%

Also, big Solholm is going to be a fans folk hero isnt he. The big handsome scandinavian!

Iv been critical of the way we set up this season but that was a brilliant performance. We pressed high, we fought for everything and we opened up and had a good go. Could easily have scored 5 or 6 today. We only looked a bit frustrating last 10mins when we decided to shut up the shop. To a man, the players were all excellent. I thought Woolery was superb. Midway through second half he absolutley busted a gut getting back snd stopping a hearts break. Onwards and upwards. Mon the 'well!

My main issue is that we appear to have players that should be a "less pisher" watch
-
The result is great and the points tally more than decent. Did you honestly enjoy watching St Mirren and Rangers piss all over us? Im not calling for the managers head. I actually think, man for man he has brought in a more than sble set of players. I just want to see us be a bit more expansive
-
To be fair, last season he was
-
Beavis has been pretty good this season - certainly by the standards he set last year. SOD has been poor
-
Not watching, im assuming we are not even attempting to try play football and win the game?
-
Got to agree. We can all pick any kind of alternative formation but until GA takes the shackles off and instructs our guys that its good to actually have a go and play football rather thsn sitting back being confident we can 'defend our own box', then we are going to keep seeimg the same shite served up.
-
And that is probably the quickest way to lose a dressing room. The players are not daft, they know deep down that we can't sit back and let St Mirren, Rangers and co do what they want , building attack after attack. If we were winning every week they would probably accept it and suck it up, but once we start getting beat regularly then I would expect the players to revolt.
-
The style is just eye bleeding to watch. It was horrendous letting St Mirren have the same freedom mid week but allowing higher class players from Rangers to do what they want and invite them to attack us at will is tactical suicide. What I really don't get is the fact that we looked a handy, expansive, attacking team against Hibs. Yes we lost out late in the game but we went toe to toe with them and made it a great match. Since then, he has retrenched us back, let the opposition do what they want and hope we can defend our box. We have been sussed out bigtime now. AS someone said higher up the thread, we do actually seem to have a decent squad, probably better than for a good few years. GA needs to work out a way of getting a tune out of them.

I really don't subscribe to the nonsense that the refs are here to help Rangers at the expense of everyone else. Look at Wednesday night at Fir Park, Motherwell v St Mirren, horrific decisions, none of which had anything to do with Rangers. Yes, they get their fair share of help, as do Celtic but that is probably down to being in the box more than other teams and having tens of thousands of wanks screaming at them. The reality is that refs up here, across the board, really are not very good at their job. VAR would be excellent, I can't see it happening myself. The biggest losers from VAR would be both arse cheeks as the soft decisions they get would be lost. To go back to your point, if for some reason that we are actually winning the game - on Sunday or any other game, we should maybe try to keep playing football right up to the final whistle. Not sit back and invite teams onto us which seems to be GA's strategy. The more opportunities we give any opposition late in the game to pepper our box, the higher the chances of giving away a penalty, soft or stonewall.

And who the fuck has been knocking his door all week?? Watts the only one trying.
-
No you dont. Its brutal and embarrassing. Worst 45 of the season
